Supervisor will include details such as following procedures as well as labor, time, parts, tools, access, and permitting required. Works closely with Operations, Engineers, Quality, and other internal customers to ensure that detailed maintenance activity schedules are met. Develops and monitors area shutdown planning as applicable and addresses capacity issues with both internal and external customers. Works closely with all site functions to develop procedures and work practices.<h2>Main accountabilities</h2>Specific responsibilities include: Performance measures Show flexibility to move from one task to another where needed.<h2>Skills and experience required. </h2>Desired skills:<ul><li>Executing today’s planned schedule that was agreed upon the Maintenance Planner and operations Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Ensure that the planned maintenance jobs for assigned for that area has all details needed to schedule and execute each job - procedures, parts, tools, access, permitting, etc.</li><li>Partner closely with maintenance planners for assigned areas each day to maintain proper priority for planning workflow.</li><li>Incorporate feedback on completed planned jobs from maintenance mechanics (including contractors), reliability team, maintenance storage, operations, and skilled crafts to create a continuous improvement loop for job plans and planning procedures.</li><li>Provide daily communications with a wide range of plant personnel.</li><li>Provide labor and costs estimates- for project capital or expensed.</li><li>Management skills</li><li>Time management on break-in work</li><li>The maintenance planner will be evaluated on several factors.<ul><li>Maintenance metrics<ul><li>Schedule Attainment</li><li>Schedule Compliance</li><li>Schedule Loading</li><li>% Break-in Work</li></ul></li><li>Demonstrates competence in material acquisition.</li><li>Ability to multitask.</li></ul></li><li>Required skills, experience, and traits: </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technology related field preferred not required, with five - eight years of related professional experience in a heavy industrial environment working with mechanical maintenance or engineering teams.</li><li>Supervisor experience is preferred.</li><li>Must be self-motivated, diligent, detail oriented, and possess very strong time management discipline.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, assembly drawings, and machine manuals.</li><li>Strong writing skills; must be able to communicate instructions and procedures clearly to skilled crafts.</li><li>Good interpersonal skills and willingness to accept and act upon feedback from others.</li><li>Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Outlook e-mail.  </li><li>Prior maintenance planning experience</li><li>Familiarity with SAP maintenance system is preferred but not required.</li></ul>Working with us in DecaturOur Primient plant is the largest and most complex facility across our network, and has been part of the Decatur community for over 100 years.
