As part of the Global DBA Team, they will support a diverse range of database platforms, including but not limited to Oracle, SQL Server, Oracle Middleware, Oracle E-Business Suite, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based databases. This role involves delivering infrastructure services and operational support for a growing global organization. Experience working in a financial institution or a similar environment would be highly desirable. Role Responsibilities:<ul><li>Participate as part of a global database support team, providing comprehensive shift coverage to support TPICAP’s database environment worldwide, including a mix of on-site and remote work to ensure 24/7 coverage, adhere to agile working policies.</li><li>Represent the Global DBA team during major incident calls, taking ownership of problem resolution and ensuring timely completion of related tasks.</li><li>Deliver operational support for database issues arising from incidents or changes.</li><li>Provide solutions and root cause analysis for system performance issues and failures.</li><li>Collaborate on projects, working closely with project teams to ensure smooth transitions of new databases and initiatives into the Production environment.</li><li>Work closely with the functional manager and other team members to ensure cohesive operations.</li><li>Review and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the database infrastructure.</li><li>Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and procedures to support business operations.</li><li>Perform monitoring, testing, and capacity planning for databases.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including disaster recovery (DR) procedures.</li><li>Drive innovation by continually seeking improvements to infrastructure for a faster and more efficient environment.</li><li>Support broader IT initiatives, including business continuity and security efforts.</li><li>Participate in the on-call rotation</li></ul> Experience / Competences: Essential<ul><li>Experienced DBA with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience, preferably in the Financial Services sector.</li><li>Proven expertise in managing Oracle databases, including versions 23ai and 19c.</li><li>Strong understanding of Oracle Middleware, WebLogic 12c, and Oracle E-Business Suite.</li><li>Strong knowledge of database clustering technologies, such as Oracle RAC and SQL Server AlwaysOn.</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience in performance tuning, data replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and delivering analytics and reporting solutions.</li><li>Proficiency with enterprise monitoring tools such as Oracle OEM, Spotlight, and Grafana.</li><li>Skilled in creating automation solutions using Unix shell scripting, Windows PowerShell, and Ansible.</li><li>Experience in migrating databases to cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.</li><li>Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile, and high-pressure environments.
