And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Testing &amp; Commissioning Engineer (ETCS L2) who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Participating in the testing and commissioning and integration of complex signalling systems comprising of on-board, trackside, communications and control systems in accordance with the Commissioning procedures.</li><li>Performing factory and site testing as required.</li><li>Participating in fault identification during set to work activities and during commissioning.</li><li>Supporting the Commissioning Manager or his delegate in ensuring the timely production of Test Plans, Procedures and Reports at the project level.</li><li>Supporting the Commissioning Manager or his delegate in the continuous improvement of project documentation.</li><li>Loading and verification of software configuration</li><li>Supporting the engineering and validation teams where required including:<ul><li>Executing test cases / procedures in a lab environment to support lab integration activities</li><li>Ensuring site test execution plans are executable in the field or target environment.</li></ul></li><li>Attending project progress meetings as and when required.</li><li>Ensure that the test and commissioning activities are executed in alignment with the Work, Health and Safety requirements of the company and the project</li><li>Supporting the Functional Manager in the evaluation of the performance of assigned resources, identifying the need for additional resource with project justification and identifying training needs</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field</li><li>IRSE Electronic Systems Tester License or Electrical Trade qualification is desirable</li><li>5-10 years' experience in the Rail or similar industry with demonstrated capability and skills in:<ul><li>Safety systems equipment and environment</li><li>Use of Test equipment (e.g. Digital and Analog multimeters, insulation meters, etc.)</li><li>Use of Computer based Test software (e.g. Wireshark)</li><li>Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Knowledge of Incident/accident investigation</li><li>Knowledge of ERP and Configuration Management tools</li><li>Knowledge of Database tools</li><li>Knowledge of tendering process</li><li>Knowledge of budgeting and cost estimation</li></ul></li></ul>At Hitachi Rail, we know that a diverse business is a sustainable business.
