The STARS report empowers campuses to establish a baseline for sustainability achievements, enables meaningful comparisons over time and across institutions using a common set of measurements, and facilitates planning for long-term sustainability goals by engaging the entire campus community. Driven efforts over the past decade make the institution stand out as an exceptionally green organization, receiving a nomination for the Joe Garbarino Green Business Award in 2018 and receiving multiple measures to renovate the Kentfield and Indian Valley Campuses with LEED-certified buildings. </p><p><span style="font-size:12pt;"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></p><ul><li>Complete training on the use of the STARS reporting tool, goal-setting, project management, and best practices for submission of an AASHE STARS assessment.</li><li>Complete training to become a STARS Data Quality-certified professional.</li><li>Collaborate to identify and prioritize data collection for the STARS credits applicable to the College of Marin campus.</li><li>Develop and execute a plan for quantitative and qualitative data collection using collaborative tools, including Google Sheets and Asana project management software.</li><li>Utilize the STARS technical manual to ensure that all data is accurate and complies with specific reporting requirements.</li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12pt;"><strong>What We Provide</strong></span></p><ul><li>A fixed, monthly stipend of $3450.</li><li>$1000 end-of-program financial award.​</li><li>Health care coverage with 100% of health care insurance premiums covered by SEI.</li><li>10 Personal Days (for a standard 10-month Fellowship), in addition to all holidays off that are observed as closure days by the partner placement site.</li><li>Comprehensive career-readiness training, including interview prep, salary negotiation, and resume building.</li><li>Panels, workshops, and networking with climate resilience industry professionals.</li><li>Professional networking and learning opportunities, including the AASHE STARS Data Quality Certificate.</li><li>The University of California Climate Stewards Certification equips you to lead community and ecosystem resilience initiatives.</li></ul><p><span style="font-size:12pt;"><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></span></p><ul><li>Degree or commensurate experience in environmental studies, sustainability, or related fields.</li><li>Experience in sustainability tracking and initiatives.</li><li>Familiarity with sustainability terminology.</li><li>Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Spreadsheets.</li><li>Ability to communicate efficiently with diverse campus constituents.</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as with diverse, multi-stakeholder groups.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Technically adept and detail-oriented.</li><li>Ability to logically troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.</li><li>The ability to work onsite on a hybrid basis.
