With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.</p><h2>Overview</h2><p>Working as anAdditive Production Technician in our Marina facility, you will run Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) printers, powder processing equipment, and post-processing equipment. Initially, you will work supervised by team members experienced in operating the machines, and you will be trained to work independently following standard operating procedures (SOPs). In this specialized role, you will be involved with the full manufacturing of these parts, from printing to depowdering to post-processing and cleaning.</p><p> </p><p>Work shift schedule</p><p>1st shift: Monday- Friday - 5:00am - 3:30pm</p><p>2nd shift: Monday- Friday - 3:30pm - 2am</p><p> </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Setup and clean down of LPBF printers utilizing standard operating procedures</li> <li>Perform daily checks on machines using appropriate procedures</li> <li>Perform support removal and post-processing operations for additive parts</li> <li>Operating various industrial equipment</li> <li>Ability to provide opportunities for improvement</li> <li>Assist in maintaining a safe and clean lab environment</li> <li>Utilize Manufacturing Executing System (MES) for manufacturing work instructions and data entry.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>HS Diploma or GED equivalent</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch around machines, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly</li> <li>Stand or walk for long periods of time</li> <li>Excellent team spirit and ability to work independently</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Advanced manual dexterity and precision</li> <li>Ability to learn and follow all required safety guidelines</li> <li>Experience with general computer knowledge and operation</li> <li>Experience with general operation of machinery and basic mechanical knowledge</li> <li>Possess time management skills and an understanding of production process flows</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Additive manufacturing lab experience desired but not required</li> <li> 1 year minimum experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li> Metal and/or polymer additive machining experience desired but not required</li> <li>Ability to have a flexible work schedule (Overtime and weekends as required)</li></ul><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
