Position Overview<div><div>Apollo is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and operationally minded leader to join the Global Client Marketing &amp; Events organization. The Director, Marketing Strategy &amp; Operations will partner closely with the Global Head of Client Marketing and Client Marketing &amp; Events COO on day-to-day business management, strategic planning, governance, and operational excellence across all marketing disciplines globally. </div><div>This role serves as a key right-hand partner to senior marketing leadership helping drive clarity, accountability, and coordination across a dynamic global function. The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing insight, operational rigor, and strong relationship management skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. </div><div>The position will report to the Client Marketing &amp; Events COO and have close connectivity to the rest of the Client Product Solutions COO team, ensuring alignment with broader organizational priorities and operational consistency across Apollo’s global platform. </div><div>Key Responsibilities </div><div>Marketing Strategy &amp; Planning </div><div><ul><li>Operationalize the firm’s Marketing strategy translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, frameworks, and KPIs that ensure consistent execution across regions and channels. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Leverage research, audience insights, and competitive analysis to inform frameworks that can be used by broader team to align marketing positioning, content development, and go-to-market strategies. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Support governance processes, ensuring disciplined planning, execution, and reporting across all marketing teams globally. </li></ul></div><div>Marketing Operations &amp; Execution </div><div><ul><li>Define operational processes and workflow optimization across Client Marketing; drive efficiency, scalability, and best practices in campaign management, budget tracking, and resource allocation. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Integrate AI-driven marketing technology tools and platforms into workflows and processes to drive efficiency and productivity gains through automation, streamlined execution, and enhanced decision support. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Develop and maintain executive reporting dashboards, presentations, and business reviews. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manage budget-to-actual tracking for marketing activities, aligning channel spend to ROI priorities and business outcomes. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Monitor performance metrics, CRM data integrity, and enablement tools to ensure data-driven decision-making and accountability. </li></ul></div><div>Agency, Vendor, and Partner Management </div><div><ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and manage key external agency and vendor relationships to augment team capacity and capabilities spanning creative, research, contractor/consulting, and marketing technology partners. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Act as the central point of contact for agency engagements tied to key initiatives, coordinating inputs and approvals with Client Marketing &amp; Events leadership to ensure alignment and timely decision-making. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Negotiate contracts and scopes of work, ensuring value alignment, performance accountability, and cost efficiency. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Establish processes for continuous evaluation of external partners to ensure high standards of delivery and innovation. </li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li>Serve as a central liaison between internal stakeholders and agency partners to ensure cohesive execution and brand consistency across all channels. </li></ul></div><div>Stakeholder &amp; Team Leadership </div><div><ul><li>Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to Client Marketing &amp; Events leadership providing insights on culture, talent, and operational progress. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Coordinate across Client Marketing, Client &amp; Product Solutions, Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Capital, and other cross-functional teams to align on initiatives and shared objectives. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Build and nurture strong relationships across the organization to enhance collaboration and communication. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Promote a dynamic, inclusive culture that reflects Apollo’s values and the “One Apollo” mindset of partnership and excellence. </li></ul></div></div> Qualifications &amp; Experience<div><ul><li>7–10 years of experience in marketing strategy, operations, or business management; deep understanding of the financial services landscape, particularly alternative asset management</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Demonstrated success leading operational processes, managing budgets, and implementing scalable systems. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, including evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance management. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills;
