This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are prepared safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards and production schedules.How You’ll Make an Impact:Machine Operation &amp; Production <ul><li>Set up and operate saws (e.g., band saws, cold saws, circular saws) to cut materials according to work orders and specifications</li><li>Deburr parts to smooth edges and ensure safe, quality finishes</li><li>Measure, mark, and verify materials to ensure accurate cuts and minimal waste</li><li>Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, blade selection) based on material type and thickness</li><li>Maintain adherence to production schedules and throughput targets</li></ul>Quality &amp; Inspection <ul><li>Inspect cut materials for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications</li><li>Use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, squares) to verify dimensions</li><li>Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues</li></ul>Safety &amp; Compliance <ul><li>Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards</li><li>Report unsafe conditions, near misses, and safety concerns promptly</li></ul>Maintenance &amp; Equipment Care <ul><li>Perform routine maintenance on saws, including blade changes and lubrication</li><li>Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs</li><li>Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and tools</li></ul>Material Handling &amp; Collaboration <ul><li>Load and unload raw materials using appropriate equipment (forklift or crane, if certified)</li><li>Coordinate with fabrication, machining, and production teams to ensure workflow alignment</li><li>Assist with inventory tracking and material identification</li></ul>Note: This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.What You’ll Bring: <ul><li>1–3 years of experience operating saws or similar manufacturing equipment preferred</li><li>Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing environments is a plus</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurements</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality</li><li>Basic math and measurement skills</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues</li><li>Strong safety awareness </li></ul>Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company Overview:  At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
