We are committed to sustainability, decarbonization and a better tomorrow.About the RoleNextpower is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Project Engineering Team in Sorocaba, Brazil supporting key accounts across the U.S and North America markets. This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day Civil engineering tasks for utility-scale PV projects from the development phase through construction.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Civil calculations, grading, component sizing, fundation sizing, calculation tool development and the preparation of structural documentation to support project quoting and engineering packages. The role will involve close coordination with cross-functional teams in the U.S., India, and other global offices including Sales, Project Management, and R&amp;D.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Produce civil design documentation, including drawings and calculations.</li><li>Support the project development phase by reviewing site information, performing calculations, and contributing to cost estimations.</li><li>Perform grading analyses for solar farms and prepare corresponding calculations and reports; sign/seal documents if required.</li><li>Provide construction phase support by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.</li><li>Develop a comprehensive understanding of Nextpower products to support engineering decisions.</li><li>Collaborate with structural/Geotechnical/civil engineers across regions to maintain and update standards, specifications, templates, and design tools.</li><li>Manage schedules and review deliverables from Civil engineering consultants.</li><li>Support the ongoing development and expansion of Nextpower’s Design Services team.</li><li>Occasional site visits to supervise grading activities, foundation installations, tracker verifications, site remediations,  hydrology and Geotechnical investigations.</li><li>Required Skills/ Expertise:<ul><li>BS in Civil Engineering. MS in any Civil Engineering fields is a plus.</li><li>Strong knowledge of international engineering standards, codes, and other applicable state and federal guidelines, including but not limited to IBC, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, and ACI.</li><li>Proficiency in finite AutoCAD, Auto Desk Civil 3D and other Civil software</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of Civil engineering experience, preferably in the solar EPC industry.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (including Excel, word, PowerPoint)</li><li>Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Visual Basics and others is a plus.</li><li>Self-motivated team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Passion for renewable energy and solar power is a plus.</li><li>Fluent English is required to communicate effectively with clients, manage international projects, and produce high-quality technical documentation.</li></ul></li></ul>At Nextpower, we are driving the global energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility-scale power plants.
