This position is required to work on-site 5 days a week.</p></div><h2><strong>What we do: </strong></h2><p>The Senior Engineering Program Financial Analyst serves as a key financial partner to Engineering, responsible for owning program-level purchasing processes, financial planning support, and spend governance. This role drives visibility into R&amp;D and Engineering program financial performance, exercises independent judgment in managing purchasing workflows and budget alignment, and ensures compliance with company financial policies.</p><p>The position requires strong analytical capability, sound decision-making, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting.</p><p> </p><h2><strong>What you can do:</strong></h2><p><strong>Program Financial Oversight &amp; Decision Support</strong></p><ul><li>Own tracking and analysis of Engineering and R&amp;D program spend against approved budgets, forecasts, and project plans</li><li>Analyze committed, actual, and forecasted costs; identify variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions</li><li>Evaluate financial impact of program changes in scope, timing, or vendor strategy and advise Engineering and Finance leadership on implications</li><li>Proactively identify financial risks (e.g., overspend, funding gaps) and recommend mitigation strategies</li></ul><p><strong>Purchasing Governance &amp; Process Ownership</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee purchase request and requisition processes to ensure alignment with budget, business justification, and company policy</li><li>Review and approve completeness and compliance of purchasing packages prior to submission, exercising judgment to prevent downstream risk</li><li>Establish and enforce timing expectations for purchase initiation relative to vendor commitments and project milestones</li><li>Serve as a subject matter resource for purchasing workflows, ERP processes, and financial controls</li></ul><p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Act as a primary liaison between Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Accounting, and vendors to resolve complex issues and drive timely outcomes</li><li>Influence stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial processes, documentation standards, and approval requirements</li><li>Partner with program managers and Engineering leadership to align purchasing and financial execution with program objectives</li></ul><p><strong>Reporting, Insights &amp; Communication</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and deliver insight-driven reports and presentations for Engineering leadership, Finance, and executive stakeholders (including CTO-level updates)</li><li>Translate financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making and operational planning</li><li>Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial records, while improving visibility into key program metrics</li></ul><p><strong>Process Improvement &amp; Operational Effectiveness</strong></p><ul><li>Identify gaps in purchasing, tracking, and financial workflows; lead or support implementation of process improvements</li><li>Recommend enhancements to tools, trackers, and reporting to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability</li><li>Support continuous improvement of financial and operational processes within Engineering programs</li><li>Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally</li></ul><p> </p><h2><strong>What you can contribute:</strong></h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field is required</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis, program support, purchasing, or operations</li><li>Strong understanding of purchasing workflows, budget management, and financial controls</li><li>Experience analyzing financial data, identifying trends/variances, and making recommendations</li><li>Ability to exercise independent judgment in evaluating data, processes, and business needs</li><li>Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level materials</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and documentation</li><li>Ability to collaborate and influence across technical and finance organizations</li></ul><p> </p><div><div><div><p>Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
