CATF has built a strong presence in Europe by advancing pragmatic climate solutions, including carbon management, clean hydrogen, nuclear energy, advanced geothermal, fusion energy, and methane mitigation.</p><p>The Senior Director, European Advocacy will set the strategic direction for CATF’s work across Europe leading regional growth and impact, overseeing the EU and Central and Eastern Europe advocacy teams, and shaping future opportunities for expansion across the region. <strong>This is a fully remote role</strong> that can be based anywhere in Europe, offering the opportunity to lead a geographically distributed team and influence climate policy across the continent. <br></p><ul><li><strong>Regional Strategic Leadership</strong> – Lead the development and execution of CATF’s pan-European policy advocacy strategy, aligning regional priorities with global goals and program objectives.</li><li><strong>Enterprise Governance </strong>– Serve on our senior leadership team to align priorities, resources, and investments across the organization.</li><li><strong>People Leadership &amp; Team Development</strong> – Develop and empower a high-performing, geographically distributed team of 7 policy experts and consultants.</li><li><strong>Fundraising &amp; Partnership Development</strong> – Lead regional fundraising in partnership with the Development team, accountable for revenue growth, donor engagement and sustainable funding for European work.</li><li><strong>Policy &amp; Advocacy Leadership</strong> – Guide regional advocacy efforts that advance practical climate solutions across Europe’s complex political, economic, and energy landscape.</li><li><strong>Thought Leadership &amp; Communications Oversight</strong> – Elevate CATF’s external voice and manage risk by ensuring high-quality, consistent messaging—serving as the final reviewer for external-facing materials such as reports, policy briefs, white papers, and press releases.</li><ul></ul><ul></ul><li><strong>External Engagement &amp; Influence</strong> – Represent CATF with European institutions, national governments, funders, industry leaders, media, and other high-level stakeholders.</li><li><strong>Operational &amp; Resource Management</strong> – Steward regional resources, including team planning, budgets, consultant support, and priority-setting across European initiatives.</li></ul><h1>What You’ll Bring</h1><p>You will succeed in this role if you are a strategic, collaborative leader who can bring structure to complexity, build trust across cultures and institutions, and turn ambitious climate goals into focused action.
