Help build a finance function designed for growth.We're partnering with a high-growth, investor-backed business in Munich that is entering an exciting new phase of expansion.You'll play a key role in developing a finance function that can support the business as it continues to scale.This is far more than a traditional accounting position.Approximately 60% of the role will focus on finance transformation—improving systems, implementing automation, strengthening controls and creating scalable ways of working. The remaining 40% will involve hands-on responsibility for accounting operations, ensuring the business has a solid financial foundation as it grows.This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building processes, solving problems and making a tangible impact in a fast-moving environment.<h2>What You'll Be Doing</h2><ul><li>Take ownership of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process.</li><li>Help design and develop a finance function that is built for future growth.</li><li>Lead initiatives to improve finance processes, systems and operational efficiency.</li><li>Support the selection, implementation and optimisation of a scalable ERP platform.</li><li>Drive automation projects that reduce manual work and improve reporting quality.</li><li>Develop and strengthen financial controls, governance and compliance processes.</li><li>Oversee core accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.</li><li>Work with external advisers on statutory reporting, tax matters and audit activities.</li><li>Partner with colleagues across the business to improve financial processes and support better decision-making.</li></ul><h2>What We're Looking For</h2><ul><li>Qualified accountant with at least five years' experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); IFRS experience is beneficial.</li><li>Experience improving finance processes, implementing systems or supporting finance transformation initiatives.</li><li>Confident balancing operational accounting with strategic improvement projects.</li><li>Fluent German and English.</li><li>Comfortable working in a growing business where priorities can evolve quickly.</li><li>A hands-on, proactive approach with a genuine desire to build and improve.</li><li>Able to work full-time from the Munich office.</li></ul><h2>Why Apply?</h2><ul><li>Work directly with the senior leadership team.</li><li>Play a key role in shaping the future of the finance function.</li><li>Lead meaningful transformation initiatives with real ownership.</li><li>Join an ambitious, high-growth business at an exciting stage of its journey.</li><li>Excellent opportunity to develop your career as the organisation continues to grow.</li></ul><h2>Package</h2><ul><li>€70,000–€90,000 depending on experience.</li><li>30 days' annual leave.</li><li>Competitive benefits package.</li><li>High levels of ownership and autonomy.</li><li>Long-term career development opportunities.</li></ul>
