As the Operations Engineering Manager, you will lead the development and execution of our manufacturing processes, along with the facility's capital investments. The Operations Engineering manager will have responsibilities for leading a team of process engineers and work collaboratively with our product design team, as we bring our new vehicle to market.YOUR IMPACT<ul><li>Research and formulate plans to accomplish major projects, including manpower estimates, cost estimates, and work measuring devices such as milestones or critical path charts.</li><li>Monitor progress of major projects and make recommendations when needed including acquisition of capital equipment</li><li>Develop proposals for production processes</li><li>Support cost estimate activities for both new and existing products using actuals, MOST, and simulation tools</li><li>Research and make recommendations on make or buy products</li><li>Research and make recommendations for the acquisition of tooling, equipment, and fixtures</li><li>Understand current safety and OSHA requirements pertaining to assembly operations and incorporate ergonomics into safety, productivity, and performance</li><li>Establish manpower requirements, line and sub-assembly balancing data, and expectancy time performances</li><li>Lead plant layout and workstation design</li><li>Plan, schedule, and prioritize work to meet established deadlines</li><li>Manage and direct a team, including but not limited to manufacturing, process, and/or industrial engineers, focused on facility and process design</li><li>Develop, implement, and achieve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards ensuring continuously improving operations</li><li>Provide status reporting on safety, budget, staffing, volume, and performance measurements to ensure effective communication and analysis</li><li>Play an active role in long range financial forecasting, specifically around planning the resource needs of the platform team</li><li>Always promote a healthy and high morale work environment</li><li>Engage, motivate, and inspire others through trust, creditability, and collaboration</li><li>Other duties, as assigned</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering</li><li>Seven (7) or more years of experience in operations engineering or related field</li><li>Three (3) or more years of experience in leading a team of direct reports</li></ul>STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>Heavy industrial or automotive industry experience</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in line balancing and capacity/resource planning in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in value-stream mapping, problem solving, and process improvement</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading medium and large-scale operations based on lean principles</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in lean based process design and standard visual work instruction development</li><li>Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification from accredited establishment</li><li>Knowledge deploying and using 3D simulation software such as FlexSim, Simul8, etc.</li><li>Skilled in use of a Shop Floor Management System or MES, such as ProPlanner, Siemens, etc.</li></ul>#LI-MC1Pay Range:$92,600.00 - $154,400.00<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
