We facilitate mid-market transactions from $250k-$100m+, combining AI-enabled diligence tools with innovative insurance products developed in partnership with leading global insurers.Our product offerings expanded in 2025 to include placement of preferred equity and holdco debt into distributed generation facilities, in partnership with a leading private equity energy infrastructure investor. This role will lead this strategy and our relationships with key stakeholders.Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition by making capital deployment and tax credit transactions faster, more efficient, and more accessible. We work directly with Fortune 500 tax directors, treasurers, and CFOs to help them unlock value from clean energy investments while achieving their sustainability objectives.<h2>The Opportunity</h2>We are hiring an Associate to join our Transactions team as we continue to scale our platform and expand our deal activity. In this role, you will help manage tax credit transfer transactions for both new and existing customers, supporting deals from diligence through execution.This position is ideal for someone who is highly motivated, organized, and entrepreneurial, and who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will work closely with a small but experienced team and play a meaningful role in building and improving the systems, processes, and workflows that power our transaction platform.<h2>What You'll Do</h2><ul><li>Manage tax credit transfer transactions flowing through the Basis Climate platform, helping move deals efficiently from diligence through closing</li><li>Oversee and maintain transaction data rooms, ensuring documentation is organized, complete, and accessible for internal and external stakeholders</li><li>Prepare diligence reports using our templated frameworks and analytical tools, while helping to refine and improve these processes over time</li><li>Coordinate legal documentation between Basis Climate, our customers, and internal and external counsel</li><li>Manage transaction workflows, keeping internal teams and external partners aligned and ensuring deals progress smoothly</li><li>Support strategic initiatives, including capital markets activities, risk management projects, and market research or analysis</li><li>Help keep deals moving forward, proactively identifying issues, tracking progress, and ensuring key milestones are met</li></ul><h2>Who You Are</h2><ul><li>3–5 years of experience working in a high-growth or dynamic environment, ideally within the clean energy, climate, or financial services sectors</li><li>Experienced financial modeler, with the ability to review and modify client financial models to layer in tax capital scenarios</li><li>CPA (current or former) highly preferred.
