Your mission Position, Location, Department  Full-time | Madrid | Technical Europe     Position Summary  The Team Lead Technical Presales BESS is responsible for leading the European BESS Technical Presales team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support throughout the sales process.  The role combines people leadership with technical expertise, translating the technical strategy defined by the Head of Technical Europe into consistent day-to-day execution. The Team Lead oversees technical proposal development, solution design, bid support, customer engagement, and product management related technical activities and product marketing activities, while driving operational excellence, team development, and cross-functional collaboration across regional Sales, , Service &amp; Delivery team, and Headquarters other functional departments.     Reporting Line  Reports to the Head of Technical Europe  Direct reports  Technical Presales Managers BESS     Major Responsibilities    People Leadership  <ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop the regional Technical Presales team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture</li><li>Setobjectives,monitorperformance, provide regular feedback, and support employee development</li><li>Allocate resources and technical support across regions according to business priorities</li><li>Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and capability development within the team</li></ul>Technical Presales Leadership  <ul><li>Ensure high-quality technical support throughout the sales cycle for utility-scale and C&amp;I BESS opportunities</li><li>Oversee technical solution design, system sizing, bid preparation, technical documentation, and customer presentations</li><li>Guide technical evaluations of customer requirements, grid codes, and project feasibility</li><li>Support complex customer discussions, technical negotiations, and strategic bidding activities</li><li>Act as the senior technical escalation point for Sales teams and customers</li><li>Ensure consistency, quality, and continuous improvement of technical proposals and presales processes</li></ul>Product Management &amp; Product Marketing  <ul><li>Coordinate product certification activities for European markets together with HQ and certification bodies (if needed).</li><li>Consolidatecustomer feedback, market requirements, and technology trends and communicate them to Product Management and Headquarters</li><li>Support product localization, technical compatibility assessments, and new product introductions</li><li>Maintain technical documentation, design standards, and solution templates across the region</li><li>Represent the company during technical workshops, conferences, webinars, and customer events</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration  <ul><li>Collaborate closely with Sales, Service, HQ and other related departments</li><li>Ensure effective communication between European technical teams and HQ teams.</li><li>Support continuous improvement of technical tools, processes, and knowledge sharing across Europe</li></ul>Performance Indicators  <ul><li>Achievement of team and functional objectives</li><li>Quality and timeliness of technical presales support</li><li>Technical contribution to successful tenders and presales conversion rate</li><li>Internal Sales team and customer satisfaction</li><li>Team capability development, knowledge sharing, and coaching effectiveness</li><li>Continuous improvement of technical processes, documentation, and product management support</li></ul> Your profile Required Qualifications  <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Power Systems, Physics, or a related technical field</li><li>7–10 years of experience in PV, BESS, or related energy technologies</li><li>Proven experience in BESS technical presales, solution engineering, or system design</li><li>Previous experience leading technical teams (full people leadership responsibility)</li><li>Strong understanding of BESS architecture, system integration, grid requirements, and utility-scale applications</li><li>Experience supporting complex utility-scale and commercial BESS tenders</li><li>Fluency in English (C1); additional European languages are an advantage</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies  <ul><li>Strong people leadership and coaching skills</li><li>Excellent technical expertisein BESS system design and solution development</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and customer communication skills</li><li>Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions</li><li>Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style</li><li>Strong project coordination and prioritization skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Collaborative mindset with strong cross-functional communication skills</li></ul>Travel Requirement  <ul><li>Regular travel across Europe asrequired</li><li>Occasional international travel to Headquarters and suppliers</li><li>Availability for customer meetings, technical workshops, site visits, and industry events</li></ul>
