This is an opportunity to work in energy efficiency, driving decarbonization and climate action in the Greater Boston area. For over 50 years, CET has been helping people and businesses save energy and reduce waste. We partner with city and state agencies, utilities, homeowners, and business owners across the U.S. to build a just and equitable transition to the low-carbon economy, with the passage of state and federal climate goals. Inspectors and auditors are critical catalysts for implementing energy measures. This is an exciting time to be an energy auditor, as your work has a meaningful impact on the health of our planet!  This is a full-time, remote, field-based position requiring regular travel throughout the Northern Boston region. Candidates must reside in the Greater Boston area and be able to travel within the territory up to 100% of the time to support customer and program delivery needs. If you do not live in or near the geographic location specified above, we will not be able to consider your application.  Essential Job Functions In this position, you will:  <ul><li>Conduct energy audits of existing homes. </li><li>Use software, quantify savings, and produce reports documenting recommendations, including building electrification opportunities.</li><li>Provide excellent customer service during and after the audit. In particular: listening to customers to understand their needs and motivations; answering customer questions clearly; and following up with customers as needed.</li><li>Ensure that recommendations comply with program requirements for incentives and rebates.  </li><li>Conduct combustion safety and other diagnostic tests.  </li><li>Use software to quantify savings and produce reports documenting recommendations, including building electrification opportunities.  </li><li>Analyze usage data.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         </li></ul>The Skills You Bring and Requirements: <ul><li>At least 1 year of experience working in energy efficiency.  BPI certification preferred.  </li><li>Strong math skills with excellent understanding of geometry.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Familiarity with various utility program offerings and analyzing usage patterns.</li><li>Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and modeling software preferred.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a field-based position while successfully meeting program deliverables and expectations.</li><li>Must be able to work in a collaborative team-based environment.  </li><li>Must be able to pass a drug test and background check before the hire date.</li><li>Must have access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel, maintain a valid driver’s license, and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.</li></ul> Compensation and Benefits: Your benefits start on day one: Health, wellness, and paid time off benefits begin on your very first day with us, so you're supported from the start.
