Do you excel in a dynamic, rewarding work environment that values expertise, growth, and innovation?SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to support the planning, preparation, and execution of multiple utility-scale projects. In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day operations, provide leadership to electricians and apprentices, and oversee project-specific construction activities. Responsibilities include crew supervision, construction management, crew planning, project controls, engineering coordination, and both medium- and long-term planning to ensure readiness, efficiency, and quality results. With nearly 2 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Management:Plan, organize, and direct the work of electrician employees on a daily basis, including crew planning and workforce allocation.Develop and maintain six-week look-ahead schedules to support project execution and resource planning.Examine plan sets, specifications, and potential sites, conducting plan set reviews to identify constructability concerns and coordinate with Engineering as needed.Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and other stakeholders to resolve design issues and maintain project momentum.Supervise workers and field personnel in implementing the electrical plan.Ensure all safety measures and regulations are followed, as accident prevention and worker safety are high priorities in this potentially dangerous environment.Monitor work progress, track project milestones, and coordinate with the Site Superintendents, Director of Construction, and Safety to provide accurate progress tracking and reporting.Support project controls by monitoring schedule performance, labor productivity, and field progress.Coordinate Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permits and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and project requirements.Assist with conflict resolution among field personnel and subcontractors to maintain a productive work environment.General project planning prior to project commencement.Manage project supplies so that products arrive on time and are purchased at lowest possible cost.Manage site preparation and cleanup.Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite to manage project documentation, drawings, reporting, and communication.Training:Hold mandatory training sessions on installation methodology and safety.Apply knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA requirements, and NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.Train conduit and wiring runs.Teach homeruns, wiring combiner box.Teach tool management standards.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervision of Electricians on jobsite.Provides coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.WORK ENVIORNMENT:Fast paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sun.Able to work in confided spaces, and attics.Not afraid of heights and able to climb on top of roofs.100% field work.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Standing or walking for long periods of time.Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Bend or twist their body.Repeat the same movements.Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.Ability to work long hours as required for the installation crews to work to optimal efficiency.POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:This is a full-time position.You may be required the work weekends or after normal business hours from time to time.TRAVEL:Ability and willingness to travel to various locations as required within and outside of New Mexico.OTHER DUTIES:PLEASE NOTE THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IS NOT DESIGNED TO COVER OR CONTAIN A COMPREHENSIVE LISTING OF ACTIVITIES, DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES THAT ARE REQUIRED OF THE EMPLOYEE FOR THIS JOB. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)Must have a current New Mexico Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician license.Must have a minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Journeyman Licensed Electrician.OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).Working knowledge of construction, electrical work, systems, and troubleshooting.Strong understanding of NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.100% field work and must be willing to travel to various locations as required within and outside of New Mexico.Able to do equipment layout and read architectural plans/blueprints.Experience reviewing construction drawings and plan sets.Understanding of residential and commercial circuitry.Advanced pipe bending skills (at least ½ inch through 1-inch EMT).Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code.Experience coordinating with Engineering teams and supporting project controls.Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.Proficient in the use of all tools and equipment related to commercial electrical work.Strong communication, organization, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.Must possess the skills to communicate job requirements and safety standards to the job crew, as well as possess a proven ability to motivate small or large groups of individuals.Experience with crew planning, six-week look-ahead scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance).Able to climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces.Must have clean driving record.Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.Gridworks is an equal opportunity employer.
