Working closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations, the Quality Engineer will drive rapid problem resolution, manage non-conformances, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance Detailed Description:<ul><li>Provide hands-on quality support to production teams, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly to minimise disruption.</li><li>Investigate production, supplier, and customer quality issues, driving timely resolution and permanent corrective action.</li><li>Raise, manage, and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring effective containment and disposition of non-conforming materials.</li><li>Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and Pareto Analysis.</li><li>Implement, monitor, and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of quality issues.</li><li>Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.</li><li>Support production teams in maintaining quality standards and improving right-first-time performance.</li><li>Analyse quality data and trends to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Work closely with Engineering and Operations to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.</li><li>Participate in internal audits and support external customer and certification audits where required.</li><li>Produce and maintain quality documentation, inspection records, NCR reports, and corrective action records.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>HNC, HND, Degree, or Apprenticeship served qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline.</li><li>Experience in a Quality Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or similar role within a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and quality assurance principles.</li><li>Proven experience managing NCRs, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA activities.</li><li>Good understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments.</li><li>Experience using measurement and inspection equipment.</li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.</li><li>Experience analysing quality data and producing clear reports and recommendations.</li><li>Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.</li><li> Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.</li></ul>Key Competencies<ul><li>Practical and hands-on approach to quality management.</li><li>Strong shop-floor presence and ability to support production teams effectively.</li><li>Analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Focus on fast problem resolution and delivering sustainable improvements.</li><li>Proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.</li><li>Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li></ul>  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
