The role will take ownership of key technical areas including hedge accounting, intercompany transactions, IFRS16 lease accounting, capital expenditure (capex), statutory accounting under Portuguese GAAP (SNC), Spanish GAAP (PGC) and Luxembourg GAAP (Lux GAAP) (desirable), and the coordination of local statutory reporting, audits and regulatory compliance requirements. Technical Leadership<ul><li>Serve as the subject matter expert for all technical accounting matters</li><li>Interpret, implement, and communicate accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 9 (financial instruments), IFRS 15 (Revenue Recognition and Contracts), IFRS 16 (leases) , IFRS 13 (fair value measurements), IFRS18 (Disclosures and presentation) ( etc.).</li><li>Advise senior management on the accounting impact of new contracts, transactions, or regulatory changes.</li></ul>Derivatives Accounting &amp; Reconciliation:<ul><li>Manage hedge accounting activities in accordance with IFRS 9, including documentation, effectiveness testing, and fair value measurement of:</li><li>Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)</li><li>Interest Rate Swaps</li><li>Commodity and FX hedging instrument</li></ul>Compliance &amp;
