We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions.Key responsibilities &amp; accountabilities:<ul><li>Support the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems used in pumps, and water technology products.</li><li>Prepare and modify 2D drawings and 3D models using Creo and other CAD tools.</li><li>Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with company standards.</li><li>Interpret customer specifications, engineering requirements, and industry standards.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within ERP systems.</li><li>Apply Geometric Dimensioning &amp; Tolerancing (GD&amp;T) principles to engineering drawings.</li><li>Participate in product validation, prototype evaluations, and design reviews.</li><li>Support engineering change requests and product improvement initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing, sourcing, operations, quality, and global engineering teams to ensure successful product execution.</li><li>Assist in troubleshooting engineering and manufacturing issues and recommend practical solutions.</li><li>Support documentation activities associated with engineering releases and product lifecycle management.</li><li>Learn and apply engineering best practices, design standards, and product development processes.</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and innovation.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from recognized university</li><li>0-1 years of experience in a Mechanical Design role.</li><li>Internship or academic project experience related to mechanical design, CAD, pumps, fluid systems, or product development will be an advantage</li></ul>Required knowledge, skill &amp; abilities:<ul><li>Basic understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.</li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, casting, machining, welding, and fabrication.</li><li>Exposure to engineering drawings and GD&amp;T concepts.</li><li>Exposure in 3D CAD software, preferably Creo; knowledge of AutoCAD will be an advantage.</li><li>Familiarity with BOM creation and engineering documentation.</li><li>Basic understanding of pumps, valves, motors, or industrial equipment is desirable.</li><li>Exposure to FEA, CFD, or simulation tools is an added advantage.</li><li>Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems is desirable.</li></ul>Professional Skills:<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>High attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Willingness to learn new technologies and engineering tools.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Positive attitude, adaptability, and customer-focused mindset.</li></ul>Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
