<h2><span style="color:rgb(0, 32, 96);">What The Role Is</span></h2><p>Reporting to the Director, Fixed Asset &amp; Lease Accounting, the Senior Accountant, Fixed Assets, is responsible for overseeing the accounting, reporting, and control of the organization’s fixed asset portfolio, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies. This role manages the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, impairment, transfer, and disposal, while playing a key leadership role in the month-end close, financial reporting, and audit processes.</p><p>As a senior member of the accounting team, this position partners cross-functionally with finance, procurement, IT, and operations to ensure appropriate capitalization of expenditures and consistency in asset management practices across the organization. The Senior Fixed Asset Accountant also reviews and strengthens internal controls, resolves complex accounting issues, and provides guidance to junior team members.</p><p>In addition, the role drives process improvements by leveraging automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to enhance reporting efficiency, data integrity, and scalability. Duties will include monthly close in the SAP S/4 HANA fixed asset accounting system, review of related accounts, identification and preparation of necessary journal entries, and posting thereof in the accounting system.</li><li>Reconcile fixed asset accounts to the general ledger monthly.</li><li>Prepare entity-level and consolidated fixed asset roll-forwards.</li><li>Assist with the analysis and preparation of schedules for inclusion in the quarterly controller’s packages that are presented to senior management.</li><li>Preparation of quarterly/annual fixed asset schedules in accordance with GAAP and SEC disclosure requirements for inclusion in the periodic financial statements, footnotes, and other financial information reported on SEC Form 10-Q/10-K.
