We are seeking a motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our Raleigh, North Carolina office. This role supports regional growth across the greater Raleigh region and eastern North Carolina, including Wilmington, by coordinating business development activities, strengthening client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and representing Timmons Group in the marketplace.Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, the Business Development Coordinator works closely with the business development team, seller-doers, technical staff, marketing, and firm leadership to support strategic growth initiatives, advance pursuits, and enhance Timmons Group's visibility across the region.We're looking for a self-starter with initiative, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building relationships. Candidates with AEC business development experience are preferred, though experienced AEC marketing or pursuits professionals looking to expand into a more client-facing business development role are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesBrand Presence &amp; Industry Engagement<ul><li>Represent Timmons Group at industry conferences, association meetings, networking events, and community functions.</li><li>Build relationships within key markets, professional organizations, and industry associations.</li><li>Coordinate conference participation, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, client events, and post-event follow-up.</li><li>Support conference strategy, client appreciation events, and other business development initiatives.</li><li>Maintain a visible, professional presence that enhances the firm's reputation and brand.</li></ul>Client Relationship Development<ul><li>Support seller-doers and business development priorities by coordinating client engagement activities and strengthening client relationships.</li><li>Support client experience initiatives that strengthen relationships and contribute to client success.</li><li>Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions.</li><li>Coordinate outreach and follow-up with clients, prospects, and teaming partners.</li><li>Support Strategic Account Management initiatives and client account planning activities.</li><li>Help identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support follow-up activities.</li></ul>Pipeline &amp; Opportunity Support<ul><li>Identify, track, and maintain business development opportunities within the CRM (Vantagepoint preferred).</li><li>Support pursuit planning, capture planning activities, opportunity tracking, and client intelligence gathering.</li><li>Coordinate business development meetings, track action items, and help ensure follow-through on growth initiatives.</li><li>Assist with pipeline reporting and business development metrics.</li><li>Coordinate with technical staff, marketing, and the business development team to support strategic pursuits.</li></ul>Market Intelligence &amp; Growth<ul><li>Research prospective clients, markets, competitors, and upcoming opportunities.</li><li>Monitor procurement websites, capital improvement programs, and industry news.</li><li>Support market research and competitive intelligence efforts.</li><li>Help identify potential teaming partners and strategic relationships.</li><li>Maintain market and client intelligence to support business development efforts.</li><li>Share market insights that support regional growth initiatives.</li></ul>Marketing &amp; Business Development Collaboration<ul><li>Partner with Marketing and Pursuits to support strategic pursuits and client engagement.</li><li>Help ensure a seamless transition from opportunity identification through proposal and interview support.</li><li>Assist with conference planning, campaign follow-up, and client communications.</li><li>Develop client intelligence and business development materials.</li><li>Support proposal strategy by providing market and client insights.</li><li>Maintain organized business development records and activity tracking.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in the AEC industry.</li><li>Experience in AEC business development, client development, marketing, pursuits, or proposal management required.</li><li>Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments.</li><li>A proactive, self-starter mindset with the initiative to identify opportunities and take action.</li><li>Comfortable networking and interacting with clients and industry professionals.</li><li>Experience with CRM systems (Vantagepoint preferred).</li><li>Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Raleigh region and eastern North Carolina to support client meetings, conferences, and business development activities.</li><li>Active participation in SMPS or other professional organizations is a plus.</li><li>CPSM certification or interest in pursuing certification is preferred.</li></ul>
