Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to perform duties with minimal supervision, thrives on challenge, mastering new information and ideas, is innovative and flexible, willing to tackle any task required in a constantly changing environment, can grow intellectually and professionally along with our company.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Performs soldering, building wire and cable assemblies and other assembly operations.</li><li>Maintains and operates soldering equipment.</li><li>Performs intermediate assembly tasks as required.</li><li>Simple mechanical fabrication and assembly using hand tools.</li><li>Conduct / monitor experiments on high voltage, high power devices.</li><li>Works from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro- mechanical components.</li><li>Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.</li><li>Inspect finished products for quality assurance.</li><li>Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.</li><li>Use word processing and spreadsheet software for documentation.</li><li>Mark and tag components so that stock inventory will be tracked and identified.</li><li>Utilizing electrical schematics wire systems and cabinets with minimal supervision.</li><li>Preparing components for installation, including forming components by hand or automation, bending leads and preconditioning leads or wires</li><li>Operate basic equipment such as microscopes, scales, gauges, and crimping equipment.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Three years plus of soldering/assembly experience.</li><li>Capable of soldering and de-soldering of surface mounted devices and through hole components</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude.</li><li>Proficient with use of hand tools.</li><li>Experience with PC Board assembly</li><li>Hand soldering skills for small PCB based assemblies.</li><li>Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination</li><li>Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints.</li><li>Knowledge of Components.</li><li>Understanding of electricity/electronics.</li><li>Understand basic ESD (electro-static discharge) handling requirements.</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to concentrate for extended periods on highly repetitive tasks.</li><li>Computer proficient and able to learn new software programs.</li><li>Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Flexible and eager to do what’s necessary to get the job done.</li><li>Please note that due to the requirements of several U.S. Government Departments, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>IPC 610/620/JSTD or equivalent certifications are a plus.</li><li>Quality workmanship and displayed ability of meeting production standards where trained.</li><li>Good organization and record-keeping skills </li><li>Troubleshooting of simple electrical systems,</li><li>Two-year technical degree.</li></ul>Job Summary: Enter/Paste Job Summary Detailed Descrption: Enter/Paste Detailed Description Requirements: Enter Required Skills/Experience Preferred Skills/Experience:  Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
