Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!<h1>Responsibilities:</h1><h2>The incumbent is an experienced, hands-on technician, responsible for supporting injection molding operations, tooling performance, hot runner systems, mold troubleshooting, process stability, and production efficiency.  The role serves as a technical resource for production teams, process technicians, tooling personnel, maintenance, engineering, and quality.</h2><ul><li>Set up, start up, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding processes to support safe, efficient, and repeatable production.</li><li>Identify and resolve molding defects such as flash, short shots, burns, splay, sink, voids, dimensional variation, contamination, gate issues, and cosmetic defects.</li><li>Apply advanced knowledge of molds, tooling construction, mold alignment, parting lines, venting, gate conditions, ejector systems, and wear-related tooling issues.</li><li>Troubleshoot hot runner systems, including heaters, thermocouples, nozzles, manifolds, temperature controllers, wiring, connector issues, and related process symptoms.</li><li>Work with process engineering, tooling, maintenance, and quality teams to determine root cause and implement practical corrective actions.</li><li>Support mold trials, process development, process transfers, and production start-ups for new or existing molded components.</li></ul><h1>Qualifications:</h1><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>RJG Master Molder I certification.</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.</li><li>Injection molding process for thermoplastics</li><li>Knowledge of practical use of Scientific Process Development Principles.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically word and excel.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>2-year degree in engineering or related field</li><li>Experience working in Cleanroom environment</li><li>Experience working medical device manufacturing industry</li></ul>Expected salary range for this position is $35 to $40 hourly, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
