They will also work closely with suppliers to ensure customers’ needs for goods and services are met in a timely manner.  The employee must be able to work with third party companies to resolve issues related to material resource planning, transportation, inventory control, warehousing, and in some cases, quality issues.  They may also help negotiate resolutions to payment issues.  Essential FunctionsMajor Responsibilities &amp; Activities<ul><li>Account Management (60%)<ul><li>Use analysis of customer forecast to prepare annual budget and monthly sales forecast</li><li>Prepare credit and inventory applications (please clarify what an application is)</li><li>Conduct customer visits on a regular basis</li><li>Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding new demands and requests, including expedited delivery and changes to terms.</li><li>Coordinate tooling orders and approvals (please clarify what is tooling)</li><li>Manage pricing, quotes, and RFQ</li><li>Support Sales Administration Department on customer or vendor related issues</li><li>Prepare weekly activity reports and monthly summaries</li><li>Review quality reports from customers and suppliers</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Logistics Management (15%)<ul><li>Work with Sales Administration Department to maintain proper inventory levels (please clarify where this inventory is)</li><li>Monitor long outstanding inventory</li><li>Term end physical inventory check and reconciliation</li><li>Maintain relations with logistics vendors and brokers</li><li>Work with Sales Administration Department to troubleshoot delivery problems, damages, etc.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>New Business Development (15%)<ul><li>Promote existing products to new customers</li><li>Research and promote new product offerings from our vendors</li><li>Work independently and with other Hitachi companies to identify market needs and potential new customers</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Other (10%)<ul><li>Maintain quality management system (QMS) requirements</li><li>Maintain Development Projects Database</li></ul></li></ul>EducationBachelor’s (4-year) degree in business, marketing, or related specializationExperience<ul><li>2 years purchasing, logistics experience, required</li><li>5-7 years related sales experience, preferred</li><li>International company experience, preferred</li></ul>Skills and Abilities<ul><li>Must read, write and speak English at a high level (Proficient)</li><li>Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)</li><li>SAP experience preferred</li><li>Authorization to work in Mexico</li><li>Experience in the automotive industry preferred</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Office – must be able to commute to the office M, W, and F</li><li>Home – must be able to safely work from home with minimal distraction</li><li>Travel – must be able travel to supplier, customer, and warehouse sites.  (Travel expenses are compensated.)</li></ul>
