You will partner directly with operations team leadership to strengthen our relationships with government officials and promote our community presence across key markets in the region.You will advance policies that support shared micromobility programs; preserve, expand, and develop new programs in cities throughout Latin America; grow our fleet across multiple vehicle types; and help ensure we are building meaningful, trusting, and long-term relationships with key public, private, and community stakeholders.The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience leading advocacy campaigns and building partnerships with government and community leaders. A core skill will be the ability to communicate the value of Lime’s service to regulators, the media, and other key constituencies across a range of local contexts. Just as importantly, this person should bring strong instincts around municipal politics, including how city-level decision-making, stakeholder dynamics, and local political considerations shape market outcomes.This role will require a strong independent contributor who is comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership in a dynamic environment. The right candidate will be able to navigate complex challenges, move work forward with limited day-to-day oversight, and build traction across multiple markets while working closely with cross-functional partners.This position is a remote role based in Mexico City and reports directly to the Regional Head of Government Relations for US, South and Latin America.This position requires occasional travel to support business operations, which is considered an essential function of the role. Lime will provide reasonable accommodations as needed.What You'll Do:<ul style=""><li>Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with government leaders at the city, state, and national levels, including agency staff and elected officials; nonprofit and community organizations; business community partners; media; and other prospective partners to effectively carry out Lime’s government relations and public affairs strategy across Latin America</li><li>Participate in media interviews and speak at government and community forums; organize, attend, and lead public-facing events in market in both English and Spanish</li><li>In partnership with regional leadership, evaluate, prioritize, and implement strategic paths toward maintaining and growing Lime’s operations and fleet across key Latin American markets, with an immediate focus on Mexico and Chile</li><li>Collaborate with regional operations, campaigns, and policy leadership teams to develop and execute a long-term government relations strategy aligned with company priorities and key market goals</li><li>Collaborate with comms and marketing teams on educational and safety initiatives, advertising and marketing campaigns, and local media activities</li><li>Analyze and inform GR leadership and other internal stakeholders on regulatory, legislative, and political developments across Latin America, with particular attention to Mexico City</li><li>Anticipate potential issues that may impact operations in the region and work with internal teams to problem-solve quickly and effectively</li><li>Provide leadership on cross-functional efforts to create models and best practices for stakeholder engagement, work planning, and execution across emerging and established markets</li><li>Manage consultants and external partners, including establishing metrics for success and accountability</li><li>Help lay the foundation for future team growth in the region; while this role does not begin with direct reports, the person may grow into people management responsibilities over time</li></ul>About You:<ul style=""><li>Must be fluent in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages; comfortable speaking publicly and engaging with media</li><li>At least eight (8) years of related experience in government affairs, public policy, campaigns, and/or community development in a government-related environment</li><li>A minimum of three (3) years of direct experience working with municipal and/or state government, campaigns, or public policy in Mexico City, ideally recently</li><li>Strong experience navigating municipal politics and city-level stakeholder environments; while candidates may bring national-level experience, meaningful exposure to local government dynamics is especially important for this role</li><li>Experience working in or across other Latin American countries strongly preferred; experience in Chile is especially valuable</li><li>A strong independent operator who is comfortable owning issues end to end, exercising sound judgment, and advancing work in complex environments with limited oversight</li><li>A multitasker who is comfortable managing multiple priorities while executing projects in a demanding environment</li><li>An analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to identify high-impact opportunities and drive efficient growth</li><li>Availability to travel as needed across the region</li><li>Previous professional experience in transportation and mobility is beneficial but not required</li><li>Experience managing people is preferred, particularly for candidates who have helped build or scale teams, though this role will begin as an individual contributor</li></ul>#LI-Remote#LI-AM1If you want to make an impact, Lime is the place for you.
