<h2>Overview</h2>We are designing the Grid of the future.Conduct IBR Dynamic Modeling studies which are particularly related to existing and future ERCOT and other regional reliability standards. This position will have specific emphasis placed on IBR plant dynamic modeling. <h2>Responsibilities</h2>How you can make an impact:<ul> <li>Perform detailed bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT.</li> <li>Conduct IBR modeling: steady state, short circuit and dynamic.</li> <li>Perform various compliance technical assessments on IBR facility rating, protection coordination, ride through assessment.</li> <li>Process, generate and maintain data as required for other engineering related studies.</li> <li>Prepare technical study reports for all studies performed.</li> <li>Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.</li> <li>Be able to provide on the job training or help oversee the work of other Power Systems Engineers and Interns.</li> <li>Execute on multiple studies/tasks at any given time.</li> <li>Perform complex tasks according to good engineering practice and EPE procedures.</li> <li>Capable of autonomously and independently executing on assigned tasks.</li> <li>Participate in multifunctional teams to obtain/provide input, address client comments, and perform technical studies.</li> <li>Assist in developing tools, processes, and procedures that enhance engineering study completion.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:<ul> <li>Master’s degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in power systems</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience as a power systems engineer</li> <li>Experience with performing power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability</li> <li>Experience with power systems software such as PSCAD, PSSE, and TSAT</li> <li>Experience with automating/programing in Python</li> <li>Experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly to improve quality, productivity and innovation</li></ul> Lead the change!  Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.  For more than half a century, Electric Power Engineers (EPE) has partnered with power and energy clients across the globe providing consulting expertise and energy intelligence software solutions for complex engineering and grid modeling challenges.
