Perform test and verification procedures for complex opto-mechanical and electro-optical components and subassemblies using defined production procedures.Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, technical manuals, and procedures to perform assigned assembly and test operations</li><li>Assemble, install, align, and adjust electro-optical, mechanical, and electronic subassemblies</li><li>Operate computer-based test software and diagnostic tools to verify sensor functionality, calibration, and alignment</li><li>Perform optical alignment activities, including laser operation and verification of optical paths</li><li>Use precision hand tools to make fine mechanical and optical adjustments to meet performance specifications</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electro-optical issues using test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMM) and other diagnostic instruments</li><li>Apply adhesives, epoxies, and bonding compounds in accordance with approved procedures and curing requirements</li><li>Verify that all assembly, alignment, and test steps are completed accurately and in the proper sequence</li><li>Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and documentation requirements</li><li>Document test results, inspections, and process completion in electronic systems</li><li>Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure product reliability, performance, and flight-critical integrity</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>Job Qualifications:<ul><li>High school degree or GED required, Associates degree preferred</li><li>1 - 2 years of experience in related technical field</li><li>Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly experience preferred</li><li>Basic computer skills required</li><li>Able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds for short durations</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail</li><li>Demonstrated ability to learn on the job</li></ul>Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.About Teledyne FLIR DefenseJoin Teledyne FLIR Defense, where we're dedicated to supporting critical missions with an exciting range of cutting-edge technologies.
