<div>Position Summary: The Senior Solar Technician will be the experienced field service technician for CSS’ operations and maintenance of solar facilities. The Senior Solar Technician is responsible for leading work, training junior technicians, representing CSS in the field, and the safe and timely completion of all service obligations.    Essential Functions: <ul><li>Troubleshooting and repairing utility scale solar generators </li></ul><ul><li>Lead commissioning, quality assurance inspection, or preventative maintenance work as needed </li></ul><ul><li>Provide timely Field Service Reports back to Operations staff for delivery to client </li></ul><ul><li>Provide on-the-job training to less experienced field staff, be a leader in safe and proper work practices </li></ul><ul><li>Perform vegetative maintenance as required </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure a premium level of customer service </li></ul><ul><li>Participate in weekend and holiday on-call schedule </li></ul><ul><li>Occasional overtime work and overnight travel required </li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: <ul><li>Ability to create and support team morale </li></ul><ul><li>Working knowledge and experience operating under OSHA 1910.269, NFPA 70E,B </li></ul><ul><li>Exemplary verbal and written communication skills </li></ul><ul><li>Team oriented attitude </li></ul><ul><li>Prioritizes safety daily, actively participate and lead site safety meetings </li></ul><ul><li>General computer, network, and technology proficiency </li></ul><ul><li>Values staff development and organizational excellence </li></ul><ul><li>Firm understanding of the principles of electrical theory and photovoltaic power generation </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding &amp; experience in the operation and concepts relating to electrical and mechanical trade work </li></ul>  Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record to operate a company vehicle </li></ul><ul><li>3 years field experience in utility solar PV or 6 years of related experience </li></ul>  Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>First-Aid/CPR/AED </li></ul><ul><li>NFPA 70E </li></ul><ul><li>OSHA 30 </li></ul><ul><li>OEM certified training on one or more inverter systems </li></ul><ul><li>Commissioning or maintenance experience </li></ul> Physical Demands: <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness </li></ul> Work Environment: <ul><li>~90% of time spent in-field at utility scale solar facilities </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to native plants and, occasionally, animals </li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to electrical hazards </li></ul> The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job.
