This role leads Project Managers and cross-functional project teams across Manufacturing, Engineering and support functions. The role also includes monitoring overall portfolio performance, managing portfolio-level risk, supporting governance and decision-making, and maintaining communication between portfolio stakeholders and the leaders of individual programs and projects.</p><p> </p><p><em><strong>This role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MI, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY.</strong></em></p><p><em><strong>Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided.</strong></em></p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Manage a team of Project Managers</li> <li>Ensure alignment of all program initiatives with strategic business objectives</li> <li>Define program-level goals, and success metrics tied to business outcomes</li> <li>Partner with executive stakeholders to align priorities and expected benefits</li> <li>Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers</li> <li>Establish performance expectations and accountability</li> <li>Promote collaboration and continuous improvement within the PMO</li> <li>Support development of project management standards and best practices</li> <li>Provide guidance and motivation to program and project teams and successfully align the teams to the customer needs by establishing milestones, goals, and objectives based on input from all functional areas and key stakeholders</li> <li>Coordinate business requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder approval</li> <li>Convert requirements into tasks and determine task priorities for individual team members and the project.</li> <li>Review project schedules with functional project managers to identify and coordinate resources necessary to meet project requirements, as defined by the project scope</li> <li>Ensure project scope and costs are agreed upon by the stakeholders</li> <li>Balance the cost, schedule, and time frames against the project requirements</li> <li>Proactively drive tasks to completion in accordance with the project schedule to ensure work is on track and on budget to meet or exceed expectations</li> <li>Perform cost analysis for projects to include travel, training, resources allocation and other relevant costs.</li> <li>Identify effective solutions to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems</li> <li>Define and manage resource capacity and time tracking</li> <li>Recognize potential problem areas to identify and implement alternative solutions.</li> <li>Serve as escalation point to define and mitigate overall project risk through conflict and issue resolution with the project team and stakeholders</li> <li>Manage the project change control processes to ensure alignment of scope, schedules, budgets, and resources based on approved changes </li> <li>Provide regular updates to key stakeholders on project performance status, variances to plan, and identification of issues, risks, and corrective actions taken as necessary</li> <li>Drive relevant, concise, and effective project communication through a variety of mediums to diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery</li> <li>Report project metrics to key stakeholders</li> <li>Responsible for quantifying the project's Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and managing the work within scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints</li> <li>Coordinate project related RFI / RFPs with third parties and internal IT procurement team to meet current and planned business needs</li> <li>Maintain a good working relationship and engage in frequent communication with service provider(s)</li> <li>Review and approve payment requests and change orders </li> <li>Support improving the Project Management community by assisting in coaching and development of skills and capabilities</li> <li>Participate in the exchange of ideas and information within the PMO, and with others to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization</li> <li>Demonstrate commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer concerns a priority</li> <li>Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.</li> <li>May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>8 - 12 years of progressively responsible experience actively leading projects of medium size and/or scope with cross functional teams</li> <li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time</li> <li>PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or equivalent is highly preferred.</li> <li>Acquired knowledge and experience in a manufacturing, shop floor environment, with product design and manufacturing execution systems.</li> <li>Experience working with project management software, such as Microsoft office suite including Teams and Project. </li> <li>Master the ability to influence and motivate teams without direct authority to complete work in a timely manner.</li> <li>Advanced soft skills including the desire to work with diverse and geographically dispersed teams.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Excellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills </li> <li>Must be self-motivated, creative, and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical challenges.</li> <li>Be collaborative in driving decisions and able to deal with all levels of management and stakeholders.</li> <li>Highly adaptable to constantly changing technology and environments.</li> <li>Highly organized with acute attention to detail</li></ul><h2>Job Locations</h2>CA-Remote- CA
