AECOM is seeking a Project Engineer for one of our offices in Sacramento, CA. This role plays a key role in advancing the California High-Speed Rail program by providing technical guidance on design and construction activities. This position supports project delivery through design review, field engineering, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.<ul><li>Review and provide technical oversight of engineering submittals, construction drawings, and specifications for compliance with CAHSR standards and applicable codes</li><li>Support the resolution of design and construction issues, including field engineering changes, RFIs, and non-conformance reports</li><li>Coordinate across disciplines (civil, structural, geotechnical, systems, and environmental) to ensure integration of design and construction activities</li><li>Provide technical input during constructability reviews and value engineering assessments</li><li>Take part in the management of contractor teams to bid, propose and deploy for construction. Monitor construction progress and support the Engineering Manager in ensuring quality, cost, and schedule adherence. Be proactive in solving any field issue to alleviate contractor impacts.</li><li>Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering procedures, technical criteria, construction, and project documentation</li><li>Interface with contractors, consultants, local jurisdictions, and regulatory agencies as required for technical coordination</li><li>Support risk identification and mitigation activities related to engineering and construction.</li></ul>
