Your mission Position, Location, Department  Full-time | Germany | Sales Europe     Position Summary   The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for commercial and people leadership across a defined sub-regional market cluster. The role drives revenue growth, market development, and customer engagement across multiple countries through both personal sales activities and the leadership of regional sales teams.  The Regional Sales Manager translates the European commercial strategy defined by the Regional Sales Director into regional execution plans, aligns commercial activities across the assigned countries, and actively contributes to regional business growth by developing strategic customer relationships, leading complex sales opportunities, and securing key commercial agreements.     Reporting Line  Reports to the Regional Sales Director  Direct Reports  Assigned regional sales employees, as applicable     Major Responsibilities  Commercial Leadership  <ul><li>Execute the regional sales strategy for PV Projects in alignment with European commercialobjectives</li><li>Deliver regional revenue, margin, and order intake targets across the assigned country cluster </li><li>Personally develop, negotiate, and close strategic commercial opportunities with key customers across the region </li><li>Maintain executive-level relationships with major EPCs, project developers, utilities, investors, and other strategic market participants </li><li>Guide and support Sales Managers in developing strategic customer relationships and executing complex commercial opportunities </li><li>Lead senior-level negotiations for major framework agreements, utility-scale projects, and strategic partnerships </li><li>Ensure consistent pricing strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline across markets</li><li>Monitor market developments, regulatory frameworks, and competitor activities</li><li>Identify growth opportunities and support expansion into new market segments</li></ul>People Leadership  <ul><li>Lead, coach, and develop Country Sales Managers and regional sales teams</li><li>Establish clearsales objectivesand performance expectations across markets</li><li>Conduct performance reviews and leadership coaching for direct reports</li><li>Support organizational development, succession planning, and capability building</li><li>Foster a collaborative and high-performance regional sales culture</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration  <ul><li>Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technical, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to support complex regional business opportunities.</li><li>Ensure alignment between country strategies and European commercial objectives</li><li>Coordinate with Regional Sales Directors and HQ teams on strategic initiatives and major opportunities</li></ul>Performance Indicators  <ul><li>Regional revenue, margin, and order intake vs. target </li><li>Personal contribution to strategic opportunity development and successful deal closure</li><li>Pipeline coverage, conversion rate, and forecast accuracy </li><li>Development of strategic customer relationships with EPCs, Developers, Utilities, and other key market participants </li><li>Regional sales team performance and target achievement </li><li>Regional market growth and strategic account development</li></ul> Your profile Required Qualifications  <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field preferred</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales within the energy, solar, or related industries, including significant experience leading multi-country commercial activities and formal people leadership responsibilities</li><li>Extensive experience in utility-scale PV project sales within the German market and broader DACH region</li><li>Established network with EPCs, project developers, utilities, IPPs, investors, and other key stakeholders in the German renewable energy market</li><li>Demonstrated success in leading multi-country sales teams</li><li>Strong understanding of regional energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and customer segments</li><li>Fluency in English and German (C1: professional working proficiency)</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies  <ul><li>Strong regional commercial leadership and market development capability</li><li>Strong business development capability with a proven track record of personally winning strategic commercial opportunities</li><li>Proven people leadership in multi-country environments</li><li>Strong coaching, performance management, and talent development capabilities</li><li>Ability to align diverse markets under a common commercial strategy</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural leadership skills </li></ul>Travel Requirement  <ul><li>Frequent travel within the assigned region</li><li>occasional international travel as required </li></ul>
