The analyst will work closely with teammates, peers, and management on various accounting and reporting activities including preparation of GU&amp;I segment internal and external reporting, monthly journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, complex analysis and assessments of equity investments, and financial statement analysis. The analyst will interact frequently with various groups to support these activities and other transactions and decisions. The position will analyze and research ad-hoc requests, develop reporting, and effectively prepare presentations for management review and decision making. This position works closely with internal teams within the overall Controller’s organization as well as Regulated Utility Gas Operations Finance, Gas Investment and Strategic Planning, Load Forecasting and others. Effective communication and relationship building are crucial to succeed in this role. Responsibilities of this role also include leading projects, setting priorities, and special projects as needed. The position requires strong technical knowledge and research capabilities to ensure compliance with GAAP and FERC. This is the fourth level of the financial analysis classification hierarchy. Employees at this level are expected to solve complex problems and interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions.  Employee may also regularly lead projects. Incumbents provide leadership (advising and providing direction) to others in financial areas of specialization and may coordinate daily work activities and review the work of other teammates.
