Job Summary AECOM is seeking Bridge Engineers to be based in Dubai, UAE. The Bridge Engineer will be responsible to produce the design information and coordinate with the CAD/BIM technicians for the drawings production. Design will be carried out in accordance with AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, AREMA and or any other international design code as applicable. He/She may be assigned, if required, to undertake some site inspections. Job Duties<ul><li>Assist with the development of design concepts, carrying out detailed design of bridges, underpasses, rail structures, stations, and other infrastructure structures.</li></ul><ul><li>Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches.</li></ul><ul><li>Liaise with CAD/BIM Technician for production of drawings.</li></ul><ul><li>Plan and carry out site inspections of structures, if required.</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare technical reports.</li></ul><ul><li>Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety file.</li><li>Report writing and production of technical reports and documents.</li></ul> Qualification<ul><li>Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject such as Bridge, Civil or Structural Engineering.</li></ul><ul><li>Preferably educated to MSc level or equivalent.</li></ul><ul><li>Preferably Chartered or PE licensed.</li></ul><ul><li>undefined</li></ul>Specific Skills Required<ul><li>Must have minimum relevant experience between 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in design of Bridges, underpasses, rail structures, stations, and other infrastructure structures. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.</li><li>Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.</li><li>Supports colleagues, seen as a team player</li><li>Able to develop design spreadsheets.</li><li>Knows basis use of AutoCAD and able to review BIM models on Naviswork.</li><li>Relevant experience in inspection and assessment of bridges and other transportation structures is preferable.</li><li>Verifies that work carried out is correct as per client requirement.</li><li>Knowledge sharing to junior engineers.<ul><li>Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as Midas, Etabs, Safe, STAAD, CSI Bridge.</li></ul></li></ul>Person Specification (Behavioral Attributes)<ul><li>Organized</li><li>Proactive</li><li>Ability to take ownership of tasks involved</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul>ExperienceMinimum Requirements 4-6 years of work experience
