Job SummaryAECOM India is seeking talented Engineers for our Civil Engineering practice. Candidates for the Civil Engineer position should have experience in medium to large size projects such as cultural buildings, high rises, office buildings, airports, transit, health care and research facility design preferably in a consulting engineering firm environment. The Engineer will have to be self-starters and are required to work with only moderate level direction and guidance from seniors on projects. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Support the team for design, coordination, planning and completion of engineering projects.</li><li>Communicate with seniors to understand project requirements.</li><li>Plan and formulate approach to tasks according to project requirements.</li><li>Manage project design and deliverables as well as other design team members, supervise the work of junior engineers and modelers, and direct project staff in preparing contract documents such as drawings and specifications.</li><li>Checking of work being done and modifying workplans to ensure QA/QC is always maintained.</li><li>Monitor and control the time spent for the different tasks in the project to avoid time over-run.</li><li>Explore ways to automate repetitive work and support computational design efforts in the office.</li><li>Assist seniors with project delivery as required.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>6 to 10 years of experience with projects similar in function, size and scope to the description above.</li><li>Undergraduate degree (Master’s preferred) in civil engineering/Hydraulics /environmental engineering or related field.</li><li>Knowledge of Indian codes is mandatory. Familiarity with US, BS, Eurocodes is a plus.</li><li>Prepare Site Grading Layouts, site development work, site Design and preparation of Storm water drainage layouts, sanitary sewer system, Underground gravity drainages and chemical sewer system, tankage area layout,</li><li>Working knowledge of current industry software, including Sewer Gem, Water GEM, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.</li><li>Willingness for programming, macros &amp; Excel design sheets is desirable, though not mandatory</li><li>Interest in working with Rhino, Grasshopper, Python coding will be a plus</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Time management and people management skills will be valuable.</li></ul>
