Lead here.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Junior Architectural Technologist to join our Architecture &amp; Design Studio and become part of a growing technical team delivering innovative, digitally enabled projects across a wide range of sectors.This is an exciting opportunity to:<ul><li>Develop technical design and BIM delivery skills on complex, real-world projects</li><li>Work alongside experienced architects, technologists, engineers, and digital specialists</li><li>Gain exposure to advanced digital delivery and emerging construction technologies,</li><li>Build expertise in technical design, project coordination, and BIM workflows</li><li>Contribute to the growth of our Industrialised Construction strategy and learn more about modern methods of construction and DfMA approaches</li><li>Begin and grow your career through AECOM's ADVANCE Early Careers Programme, designed to support your professional and personal development</li></ul>You will join a high-performing multidisciplinary team spanning architecture, engineering, digital, and consulting services, working on some of the most technically challenging and innovative projects in the built environment.Your RoleAs a Junior Architectural Technologist, you will contribute to technical design delivery, BIM authoring, and project coordination across a range of sectors and project types.Working under the guidance of experienced technical leaders, including our Senior Architectural Technologist, you will develop the skills and experience needed to become a future technical specialist within the practice.You will:<ul><li>Support the production and coordination of technical design information across RIBA Stages 3 to 5</li><li>Develop BIM modelling and digital delivery expertise using industry-leading tools and workflows</li><li>Contribute to technical libraries, BIM content, and standardised design solutions</li><li>Support project teams in delivering coordinated, compliant, and buildable design information</li><li>Build a strong understanding of construction technology, technical detailing, and project delivery</li></ul>This role provides an excellent platform for developing technical expertise while contributing to the future of design and construction delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Design &amp; Project Delivery<ul><li>Support the production and coordination of technical drawings, models, schedules, specifications, and project information</li><li>Assist with the development of coordinated technical design packages using Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows</li><li>Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to support design coordination and technical delivery</li><li>Assist in preparing technical reports, schedules, specifications, and project documentation</li><li>Help resolve technical and coordination challenges throughout project delivery</li><li>Support construction-stage activities, including technical reviews, design updates, and information management</li><li>Develop an understanding of buildability, construction sequencing, and technical design best practice</li></ul>BIM &amp; Digital Delivery<ul><li>Create and maintain BIM models in accordance with project requirements and digital delivery standards</li><li>Support project teams in applying BIM methodologies, information management processes, and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows</li><li>Assist in the development and maintenance of Revit content, BIM libraries, and reusable technical resources</li><li>Gain experience using digital tools that improve project coordination, efficiency, and design quality</li><li>Develop knowledge of model coordination and multidisciplinary digital delivery processes</li><li>Support the adoption of best practice BIM and digital delivery standards across projects</li></ul>Construction Innovation &amp; Technical Development<ul><li>Develop an understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), and emerging construction methodologies</li><li>Support the development of BIM content, standard details, and reusable technical resources</li><li>Learn how digital technology and innovation are transforming design and project delivery</li><li>Engage with supplier, manufacturer, and technical information to support coordinated project outcomes</li><li>Contribute ideas and innovative approaches that improve efficiency, coordination, and quality</li></ul>Quality &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Develop knowledge of Building Regulations, the Building Safety Act, British Standards, and other industry guidance</li><li>Support quality assurance and technical review processes</li><li>Help ensure project information is coordinated, accurate, and delivered to required standards</li><li>Build an understanding of construction systems, materials, and technical detailing principles</li><li>Contribute to the delivery of high-quality technical information across project teams</li></ul>Learning &amp; Professional Development<ul><li>Participate in AECOM's Advance Early Careers Programme</li><li>Work alongside experienced architects and technologists through mentoring and structured development opportunities</li><li>Develop technical, digital, and professional skills through project-based learning</li><li>Contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across the studio</li><li>Work towards professional accreditation and long-term career progression within AECOM</li></ul>
