The role manages pension administration, employee benefits, expenses, mileage claims, and driver compliance records, while providing expert support to employees and driving continuous improvement across HR operations.Salary: £40,000 FTEPermanent: 30 hours per week<h2>WHAT YOU WILL DO</h2><div><ul><li>Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for approximately 290 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, overtime, statutory payments, and payroll changes.</li><li>Administer pension schemes, employee benefits, and payroll deductions, ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment and pension governance requirements.</li><li>Oversee employee expenses and mileage claims, validating submissions in line with company policy and HMRC regulations.</li><li>Maintain driver compliance records, including licences, permits, and associated documentation, ensuring ongoing legal and company policy compliance.</li><li>Ensure adherence to HMRC, PAYE, National Insurance, GDPR, and other statutory requirements, supporting year-end payroll activities and audits.</li><li>Act as the first point of contact for payroll, pension, and benefits queries, providing professional and confidential support to employees.</li><li>Produce payroll and people-related reports, maintain data integrity across HR and payroll systems, and support Finance and HR with reporting, analysis, and audits.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and automation.</li></ul><h2>ABOUT YOU</h2></div><div>Essential<ul><li>Proven experience managing end-to-end UK payroll in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, pensions, and HMRC regulations.</li><li>Experience administering pension schemes, payroll reconciliations, and compliance activities.</li><li>Experience processing employee expenses and mileage claims.</li><li>Proficiency in payroll, HRIS, and reporting systems, with advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>Experience with driver compliance, fleet administration, or licence management processes.</li><li>Knowledge of risk management, internal controls, and audit requirements.</li><li>Experience using ADP, Workday, Concur, Egencia, Traxmiles, and/or TTC Continuum.</li><li>CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll certification.</li><li>Experience working within Manufacturing, HR Operations, Finance, or Shared Services environments.</li></ul>BENEFITS:<ul><li>Bonus- 10%</li><li>Life Assurance 6x annual salary</li><li>Critical illness cover</li><li>Pension contribution up to 10%</li><li>Dental &amp; Health cash plans</li><li>Hybrid Working - 2 days per week from home</li><li>Enhanced parental leave</li><li>Great discounts on local retailers and restaurants</li><li>Fantastic Health &amp; Wellbeing package including an Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Full access to LinkedIn Learning to aid personal and professional development</li><li>Cycle to work scheme​</li></ul></div>ABOUT OUR WORKPLACEAliaxis is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who welcomes candidates and employees from all backgrounds.We are guided by our behaviours — We Care, We Dare, We Deliver!
