The role provides technical expertise, supports incident resolution, and works collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain business continuity.<ul><li>Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and integrity of the CSS Interfaces suite, ensuring reliable 24/7 service.</li><li>Provide technical support to Operational Support Engineers and key business stakeholders.</li><li>Coordinate with Cyber Security teams to ensure interface-related changes, developments, and vulnerabilities are managed effectively.</li><li>Support Control Centre operations, including fault resolution, maintenance activities, and system enhancements.</li><li>Maintain business-critical systems, including system monitoring, upgrades, repairs, access control, and documentation.</li><li>Ensure interface solutions comply with company policies, procedures, and technical standards.</li><li>Develop and maintain operational procedures, backup plans, and supporting documentation.</li><li>Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to improve reliability.</li><li>Liaise with internal customers and third-party support providers to resolve issues and support service delivery.</li><li>Contribute to reporting and data analysis activities using system data, scripts, and reporting tools.</li><li>Support user training and knowledge sharing across the business.</li></ul>What you'll bring<ul><li>Experience supporting real-time operational systems and system interfaces.</li><li>Knowledge of interface technologies, system integration, and cyber security considerations.</li><li>Understanding of control room operations and electricity network environments.</li><li>Experience working with suppliers, contractors, and external service providers.</li><li>Knowledge of network management systems and operational business processes.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to manage priorities and deliver accurate, timely outcomes.</li><li>Commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.</li></ul>As a minimum, you will demonstrate:<ul><li>HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.</li><li>Strong IT systems knowledge.</li><li>Good understanding of system interfaces and integrations.</li><li>Proven experience in a relevant technical or operational support environment.</li></ul>What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
