Your mission Position, Location, Department  Full-time | Europe | BESS Galaxy Sales Europe    Position Summary  The Senior Key Account Manager BESS is responsible for originating, developing, negotiating, and closing strategic Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) business opportunities. The role drives the full commercial lifecycle, from market development and customer acquisition through opportunity qualification, solution development, contract negotiation, and commercial execution.  Operating as a senior individual contributor, the role focuses on utility-scale and complex commercial opportunities, builds long-term relationships with strategic customers and market stakeholders, and collaborates closely with the regional PV sales organization to develop Battery Energy Storage System opportunities across existing customer channels, contributing to regional commercial growth in alignment with the strategy defined by regional sales leadership.  Reporting Line  Reports to Vice President Europe    Major Responsibilities  Strategic Business Development  <ul><li>Develop and execute business development plans aligned with regional commercial objectives. </li><li>Identify and originate high-value BESS opportunities across utility-scale and C&amp;I markets. </li><li>Build strategic relationships with developers, utilities, IPPs, investors, EPCs, consultants, and other key market participants. </li><li>Supportmarketentryinitiatives andexpansionintonewcustomersegments. </li><li>Partner with Regional Sales Managers, Country Sales Managers, and PV Sales teams to develop BESS business opportunities within existing customer accounts and regional sales channels.</li><li>Support and enable PV commercial teams in identifying, qualifying, and converting BESS opportunities by providing commercial guidance, customer engagement, and solution development expertise.</li></ul>Opportunity &amp; Sales Management  <ul><li>Manage the complete commercial sales cycle from opportunity identification through contract signature. </li><li>Qualify customer opportunities and develop commercial strategies for successful project acquisition. </li><li>Coordinate internal technical, commercial, legal, and finance stakeholders throughout the sales process. </li><li>Prepare commercial offers, lead contract negotiations, and finalize commercial agreements. </li><li>Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records. </li><li>Drive commercial execution to achieve regional sales targets. </li></ul>Strategic Market Intelligence  <ul><li>Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, competitor activities, and investment trends. </li><li>Identify emerging business models and strategic partnership opportunities. </li><li>Provide structured market intelligence to regional sales leadership and Headquarters. </li></ul>Market Representation  <ul><li>Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and executive-level engagements. </li><li>Strengthenthecompany'svisibilityandstrategicpositioningwithinthe regional BESSmarket.</li></ul>Performance Indicators  <ul><li>Revenue and margin achievement vs. target </li><li>Pipeline generation, quality, and conversion rate </li><li>Number and value of contracts signed </li><li>Forecast accuracy and CRM discipline </li><li>Growth of strategic customer relationships and BESS opportunities generated through existing PV sales channels</li><li>Contribution to market expansion</li></ul> Your profile Required Qualifications  <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business Management, International Business, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum5 yearsofrelevantbusiness development, sales, or commercial experience within the energysector</li><li>Proven experience developing utility-scale renewable energy projects or strategic commercial partnerships. </li><li>Strong understanding of BESS technologies, project structures, and European energy markets. </li><li>Demonstrated experience engaging senior customer stakeholders and managing complex commercial opportunities. </li><li>Fluent in English (C1); additional European languages are an advantage. </li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies  <ul><li>Strong strategic commercial mindset </li><li>Excellent business development and partnership-building capability </li><li>Executive-level communication and influencing skills </li><li>Strong commercial execution and full-cycle sales capability</li><li>Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage complex opportunities </li><li>Strong analytical and market assessment capability</li></ul>Travel Requirement  <ul><li>Regular travel across Europe</li></ul>
