Involves designs of moderate complexity.Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Assist in the design of new or revised products, equipment, and installations utilizing established engineering principles to meet customer and Railway requirements.</li><li>Manage requirements for all assigned projects or products.</li><li>Create schematics for designs.</li><li>Apply knowledge of Engineering Process and Lifecycle.</li><li>Participate in testing, debugging, and verification.</li><li>Document work according to internal and normative standards.</li><li>Present technical issues at design reviews.</li><li>Provide technical assistance to adjacent specialties, such as Safety and Program Management.</li><li>Work harmoniously in a team environment while maintaining professionalism in the job and relationships.</li><li>Track progress on all assigned tasks.</li><li>Verify that all assigned work is completed accurately.</li></ul>Key Requirements:<ul><li>0–3 years of work experience in the industry.</li><li>Experience with cabling, grounding techniques, and surge protection.</li><li>Knowledge of Electrical Engineering Principles, including power circuits design, analog and digital electronic circuits, microprocessors, and telecommunications circuits.</li><li>Experience with engineering tools:<ul><li>CAD systems (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical)</li><li>Multi-meter</li><li>Oscilloscope</li><li>Protocol Analyzers</li></ul></li><li>Well-developed verbal and writing skills in English to allow clear communication and preparation of concise and information-filled documents/work packages.</li><li>Ability to follow directions and work instructions, using sound judgment in the performance of assigned work.</li><li>Ability to present pros and cons for various courses of action.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent combination of diplomas and work experience.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>1+ years of experience in the Railway Signalling industry.</li><li>Experience in formulating or contributing to the development of new designs.</li><li>Exposure to devising and running tests to verify functionality and identifying and solving problems.</li><li>Reviewing applicable specifications, standards, rules, etc., and ensuring appropriate actions are taken.</li><li>Implementation of designs using best practices and applicable standards/guidelines.</li><li>Proficiency in the skills current to the technology of the discipline.</li><li>Making efficient re-use of existing designs.</li><li>Certification: PEO eligibility.</li><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.</li></ul>Total Compensation Range (Base Salary + Annual Incentive plan) : $69,981- $89,719The Company provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 24 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:<ul><li>Health, Dental and Vision plans - 100% of premiums are company-paid</li><li>Retirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting period</li><li>Company paid holidays - 3 weeks of vacation, Holiday closure, personal  emergency leave days and sick days</li><li>Maternity/Parental/Adoption top up pay</li><li>Annual Incentive plan</li><li>Company provided Life Insurance, STD and Employee Assistance Plan</li></ul>This posting relates to an existing vacancy.
