The role oversees strategic sourcing, market engagement, supplier and subcontractor prequalification, tender management, and contract award activities, while driving value, risk mitigation, and supply chain performance.  Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and execute procurement strategies across multiple categories.</li><li>Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and supplier onboarding.</li><li>Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business continuity and long‑term value.</li><li>Collaborate with operational, technical, and commercial teams to forecast demand and understand procurement requirements.</li><li>Ensure procurement activities align with governance frameworks, risk controls, and compliance obligations.</li><li>Monitor supplier performance through regular reviews and reporting.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, tools, and reporting.</li><li>Provide commercial insights to support budgeting and cost forecasting.</li></ul>Required Skills and Competencies<ul><li>Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain.</li><li>Strong negotiation skills and contract management experience.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into procurement strategy.</li><li>Understanding of procurement governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.</li><li>A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to enhance processes and workflows.</li></ul>The project will initially be based in Auckland and then move to an office between Warkworth and Wellsford.
