To learn more about Sparkfund, visit sparkfund.com.</p></div><h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p>Sparkfund is looking for a <strong>Senior Manager, Project Management with significant construction project delivery experience and a background in the energy industry</strong> to lead the planning and execution of a portfolio of complex energy and infrastructure projects.</p><p>This is a <strong>construction and energy project delivery role</strong>. Candidates must have direct experience managing the execution of construction projects involving energy infrastructure, electrical systems,, controls, distributed generation, battery energy storage, solar,or comparable energy technologies.</p><p>The Senior Manager will oversee multiple customer EPC projects, directly manage Project Managers and Project Coordinators, and serve as a primary point of contact for customer stakeholders. This role is accountable for project execution across scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer expectations.</p><p>This position must be <strong>based in the Minneapolis area</strong>. Portfolio Delivery</strong></h3><ul><li>Oversee the planning, coordination, construction, and delivery of a portfolio of customer EPC and energy infrastructure projects</li><li>Manage portfolio performance across scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer requirements</li><li>Monitor construction schedules, project milestones, cost forecasts, risks, change orders, and delivery dependencies</li><li>Identify potential schedule delays, budget concerns, site issues, and construction risks early and drive resolution</li><li>Lead the resolution of escalated project and construction issues in partnership with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and customers</li><li>Own portfolio-level budgeting, cost forecasting, financial performance, and variance management</li><li>Review and administer project contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and construction-related commitments</li><li>Partner with Project Development and Commercial teams during early project stages to evaluate constructability, execution risk, cost assumptions, and delivery requirements</li></ul><h3><strong>Lead &amp; Develop the Team</strong></h3><ul><li>Directly manage and develop Project Managers and Project Coordinators responsible for construction and project delivery</li><li>Set clear priorities, expectations, performance standards, and accountability across the team</li><li>Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development support</li><li>Create consistency across project planning, documentation, financial management, risk management, and customer communication</li><li>Partner with the broader Project Delivery organization to strengthen project management tools, processes, and operating practices</li></ul><h3><strong>Build Strong Customer &amp; Stakeholder Relationships</strong></h3><ul><li>Serve as a trusted Sparkfund point of contact for customer stakeholders throughout project execution</li><li>Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure alignment with project commitments and expectations</li><li>Communicate construction progress, schedules, risks, delays, budget impacts, and resolution plans clearly and proactively</li><li>Present portfolio and project information to internal leaders, customers, contractors, and executive stakeholders</li><li>Translate technical and construction information into clear, practical updates for non-technical audiences</li><li>Organize and deliver weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting on portfolio and project performance</li></ul><h3><strong>Partner Across Sparkfund</strong></h3><ul><li>Work closely with Project Delivery, Programs, Project Development, Commercial Solutions, EH&amp;S, Finance, and Customer Experience</li><li>Provide project delivery expertise related to energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, and sustainable infrastructure</li><li>Help ensure customer commitments made during development and contracting can be successfully executed in the field</li><li>Align commercial, technical, financial, safety, and operational requirements throughout the project lifecycle</li></ul><h2><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></h2><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>10+ years of construction project management, construction management, EPC project delivery, or trade contracting experience</strong></li><li><strong>Direct professional experience delivering energy or energy-related construction projects</strong></li><li>Experience delivering projects involving one or more of the following: <strong>electrical systems, HVAC, building controls, distributed generation, battery energy storage, solar, EV charging, generators, energy efficiency, or comparable energy infrastructure</strong></li><li>Experience managing multiple concurrent construction projects or a portfolio of projects through execution</li><li>Experience directly managing Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Coordinators, or similar project delivery professionals</li><li>Strong construction scheduling, budgeting, cost forecasting, risk management, and change management experience</li><li>Experience reviewing and administering construction contracts, scopes of work, change orders, and project requirements</li><li>Experience working directly with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field-based project teams</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders</li><li>Strong understanding of job-site safety and construction safety practices</li><li>Proficiency with project management software and cloud-based information management tools</li><li><strong>Must be based in the Minneapolis area</strong></li><li>Ability to travel approximately 10–30%, depending on project portfolio</li></ul><p><strong>This role requires direct construction and energy project delivery experience. Any such compensation is separate from base salary and is not guaranteed.
