<h1><strong>Role Summary</strong></h1><p>As an Electrical Engineer III – Substation Protection &amp; Controls (P&amp;C) on Revamp’s High Voltage Engineering team, you’ll drive P&amp;C design for high-voltage substations that enable renewable energy interconnections. You’ll own the development and refining of single-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and related documentation while translating utility interconnection requirements and client inputs into clear, buildable deliverables. This is a hands-on, production-focused role that calls for strong engineering judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the confidence to move designs forward independently while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary partners in an employee-owned culture accelerating the clean-energy transition.</p><p><em>Please note, </em>the salary advertised above is in USD. The CAD salary range for this role is approximately C$154,000 - C$192,000. </p><p></p><h1> </h1><h1><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></h1><h2>Project Delivery &amp; Execution</h2><ul><li>Develop protection &amp; control design packages for renewable energy substations, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), three-line diagrams, AC and DC schematics, wiring/connection diagrams, and relay and protection panel layouts.</li><li>Independently design collector and interconnection substation P&amp;C systems and apply appropriate protection philosophies.</li><li>Adapt designs in fast-paced development environments with limited or evolving information.</li><li>Produce high-quality AutoCAD Electrical and Substation Design Suite (SDS) drawings consistent with Revamp standards.</li><li>Coordinate with physical substation, civil, structural, and power systems teams to deliver integrated design packages.</li><li>Review subconsultant deliverables for technical accuracy, quality, and schedule alignment.</li></ul><h2>Client &amp; Stakeholder Coordination</h2><ul><li>Support client interaction for multiple projects within a portfolio.</li><li>Present design assumptions and respond to technical feedback.</li><li>Serve as a technical point of contact for early-stage P&amp;C scope.</li><li>Coordinate with project managers to align client deliverables.</li><li>Ensure documentation aligns with utility interconnection requirements and client expectations.</li></ul><h2>Quality &amp; Compliance</h2><ul><li>Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria independently.</li><li>Leverage experienced staff for clear design direction as needed.</li><li>Formulate and solve complex substation P&amp;C design problems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve templates, workflows, and design efficiency.</li></ul><h2>Additional Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Develop work plans for assigned tasks.</li><li>Provide mentorship to less experienced staff as appropriate.</li><li>Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.</li><li>Perform additional related tasks as assigned.</li></ul><h1><strong>Experience, Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities</strong></h1><h2>Required</h2><ul><li>Associate’s degree or greater in a related engineering discipline, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
