About the team The Power Subsystem team in our Research &amp; Development group is in charge of the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the energy generation, storage, and distribution systems for our satellites.Our team provides end-to-end engineering services tailored to the specific needs of the spacecraft. By delivering specialized, high-reliability power systems —including solar arrays, battery packs, and power conditioning &amp; distribution units— we bridge the gap between individual hardware components and the broader ecosystem to ensure a seamless, mission-ready satellite.The team is always learning and trying to push the limits, relying in part on the large diversity of people’s profiles and backgrounds. About the position As a Jr. Systems Engineer for the Power Subsystem, you will support the solving of complex technical challenges by defining requirements, developing architectures, and validating the power systems of our hardware-constrained satellites. You will play a key role in the full lifecycle of the satellite's power architecture, ensuring energy balance, efficiency, and reliability from design through on-orbit operations. Location   This role operates on a hybrid model. While our primary preference is Buenos Aires, we are open to hiring in Córdoba, Argentina. Availability to travel is required, specifically to the facility in Uruguay. Responsibilities <ul><li>Support the definition, management and validation of system-level and component-level requirements for the satellite power subsystem (solar arrays, batteries, power distribution boards).</li><li>Participate in power budget analysis, energy balance analyses, and system modeling to ensure mission feasibility and hardware reliability.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of power components into the overall satellite architecture.</li><li>Develop test plans, procedures, and oversee the execution of functional and environmental tests (e.g., radiation, TVAC, vibration) for power hardware.</li><li>Support the satellite operations team regarding power subsystem health, telemetry analysis, and anomaly resolution on orbit.</li></ul> About you  Education<ul><li>Bachelor's degree (or final-year student) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.</li></ul> Experience<ul><li>Experience in systems engineering or similar roles.</li><li>Familiarity with collaborative engineering environments. </li><li>Familiarity with power systems, power electronics, or energy storage (preferably in aerospace, automotive, or similarly demanding environments).</li></ul> Technical skills<ul><li>Systems Architecture: Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles, requirements management, configuration management and verification &amp; validation (V&amp;V) processes.</li><li>Power Engineering: Fundamental knowledge of power generation, energy storage technologies (e.g., Li-Ion batteries), and DC/DC conversion.</li><li>Analysis &amp; Modeling: Ability to use mathematical/modeling tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB/Simulink) for system simulation.</li><li>Testing: Interest in hardware testing methodologies and a willingness to learn laboratory instrumentation and environmental test procedures (e.g., radiation, TVAC, vibration).</li></ul> What we value<ul><li>Experience in Space Industry</li><li>Exposure to systems engineering or power subsystem design through academic projects, internships, or early professional experience.
