Our culture supports our values by fostering innovative and critical thinking and a deep belief in living up to our promises.   With offices across Canada and the United States, Pattern has a global portfolio of more than 35 power facilities and transmission assets, serving various customers that provide low-cost clean energy to millions of consumers.<h2>Responsibilities</h2>JOB PURPOSE<ul> <li>Manages development activities for assigned projects across Canada, with a specific focus on the Quebec market.</li></ul><ul> <li>Collaborates with all project stakeholders, building relationships and team spirit to drive results.</li></ul><ul> <li>Develops and manages budgets and identifies and mitigates risks, to ensure successful development of projects.</li></ul><ul> <li>Supports identification of new project opportunities, in coordination with the rest of the management team.</li></ul><ul> <li>Is able to achieve project development milestones on schedule while limiting risk, optimizing value, and staying within budget. </li> <li>The candidate is able to own project analytics, incorporating technical knowledge of the subject matter into cost optimization analyses, and integrating such analyses into financial models. </li> <li>Collaborates closely as an integral member of the Quebec/Canada development team, to advance our understanding of the market. </li> <li>Works closely with the finance team to incorporate Canada project inputs into financial models and integrate with renewables modeling.</li></ul>Key Accountabilities<ul> <li>Executes and optimizes development projects in coordination with management, ensuring timely decisions are made, involving stakeholders in these decisions as appropriate, and tracking risks, schedule, and budget progress against the plan. Is able to build and maintain a basic project financial model for early-stage projects with the goal of evaluating returns for a Creation Bank level project.</li> <li>Coordinates with the permitting, land, origination, meteorology, engineering and construction, transmission, fundamentals, stakeholder engagement, legal, finance, accounting, operations, asset management, and other internal teams, to ensure these groups provide appropriate support for development projects, to maximize the opportunities.</li> <li>Supports internal Board deliverables, budgeting processes, RELAY activities, and other tracking and reporting processes for relevant projects.</li> <li>Supports creation of valuable new project development opportunities, in coordination with management.</li> <li>Manages junior development team members.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2>Educational Requirements A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, project management, finance, etc.) is required. Required Work Experience5-7 years of experience in the power industry with significant renewable energy project development, project finance, or asset management experience.  Additional RequirementsCandidate must be completely bilingual (verbal and writing) in French and English, and be based in the province of Quebec, ideally in Montreal or Quebec city. Candidate must be willing to travel within the province of Quebec, and in other jurisdictions across Canada, up to 30% of the time. Pattern Energy Group LP is an equal opportunity employer#LI-JH1 LI-Remote
