This role will involve analyzing complex logistics data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery performance for Hitachi, Ltd.The Role<ul><li>Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics data, including transportation costs, inventory levels, warehousing efficiency, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational efficiency.</li><li>Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to forecast demand, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, manufacturing, sales, and IT, to ensure seamless logistics integration.</li><li>Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics and supply chain, providing regular reports and recommendations to management.</li><li>Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and process improvements across the logistics network.</li><li>Evaluate and select third-party logistics (3PL) providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant international and domestic shipping regulations and customs requirements.</li><li>Lead or participate in logistics-related projects, from conceptualization to implementation and post-implementation review.</li><li>Develop and deliver training to internal teams on logistics best practices and new system functionalities.</li></ul>What You’ll Bring<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.</li><li>More than 3 years of progressive experience in logistics analysis, supply chain management, or a similar role, preferably within a large multinational corporation.</li><li>Strong understanding of global logistics principles, transportation modes (ocean, air, road, rail), warehousing operations, and customs procedures.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to identify complex problems, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.</li><li>Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.</li><li>Project management experience and the ability to lead initiatives independently.</li><li>Ability to travel internationally as needed.</li><li>Advanced/Fluent English level.</li></ul>#LI-FC2<h1>About us</h1>We’re a global team of innovators.
