Sensata Technologies is looking for a Director, Global EHS Performance &amp; Systems to provide strategic leadership for our global Environment, Health &amp; Safety (EHS) governance, management systems, compliance framework, data analytics, and safety culture programs.<br><br>This role will help shape how EHS is managed across the enterprise by setting global standards, strengthening compliance and audit governance, improving data visibility, and enabling proactive, risk-based decision-making. The position plays a key role in building consistent EHS practices, reliable performance insights, and scalable learning and communication programs across a complex global manufacturing environment.<p></p><p></p><div><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>EHS Management Systems &amp; Compliance</h3><ul><li>Lead the development, governance, and continuous improvement of global EHS management systems, standards, procedures, and work instructions.</li><li>Own the global EHS legal register, regulatory tracking, compliance verification, and regulatory reporting governance.</li><li>Oversee audit, assurance, and certification programs, including internal, external, and site-level audits.</li><li>Govern corrective and preventive action processes, ensuring timely closure and effectiveness of actions.</li><li>Lead global processes related to Management of Change, Prevention through Design, and pre-startup EHS reviews.</li><li>Ensure consistent application of EHS standards and compliance requirements across global operations.</li></ul><h3>EHS Data Analytics &amp; Performance</h3><ul><li>Own the global EHS KPI framework, including KPI definitions, performance dashboards, reporting standards, and global roll-ups.</li><li>Lead the development and governance of EHS performance reporting, including dashboards, objectives, targets, and program planning.</li><li>Oversee the enterprise EHS digital platform and related systems for KPI tracking, incident management, and action tracking.</li><li>Strengthen EHS data quality, reporting discipline, and performance visibility for leadership and operational teams.</li><li>Use data and insights to support proactive risk management, continuous improvement, and strategic decision-making.</li></ul><h3>Culture, Learning &amp; Communications</h3><ul><li>Lead global EHS learning and development programs, including EHS Academy curriculum, competency frameworks, coaching, and training compliance tracking.</li><li>Drive global EHS communication, consultation, and best-practice sharing across sites and functions.</li><li>Lead programs that strengthen safety culture, employee engagement, hazard recognition, and leadership accountability.</li><li>Partner with global and regional stakeholders to support adoption of EHS standards, tools, and improvement initiatives.</li><li>Build learning and communication approaches that help translate EHS strategy into practical behaviors across the organization.</li></ul><h3>Leadership &amp; Collaboration</h3><ul><li>Partner closely with EHS Operational Excellence, Sustainability, Facilities, Security, and site EHS teams.</li><li>Provide global leadership with reliable EHS performance visibility and actionable insights.</li><li>Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, accountability, and sustainable improvement.</li><li>Support a proactive, data-driven, and prevention-focused safety culture across the enterprise.</li></ul></div><p></p><p></p><div><h2>Requirements</h2><h3>Required</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health &amp; Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.</li><li>10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong experience in management systems, compliance, and performance leadership.</li><li>Demonstrated experience leading or governing EHS management systems, preferably across global or multi-site organizations.</li><li>Lead auditor competence for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.</li><li>Experience governing EHS digital platforms, KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance reporting.</li><li>Proven ability to develop and execute digital, data, or systems strategies across complex organizations.</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build safety culture, learning programs, and communication frameworks at scale.</li><li>Fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul><h3>Preferred</h3><ul><li>Professional certification such as CSP, CMIOSH, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent.</li><li>Experience with Power BI and/or administration of EHS software platforms.</li><li>Experience deploying global EHS standards, systems, and programs across multiple sites or regions.</li><li>Lead auditor competence for ISO 50001.</li><li>Experience in global manufacturing, industrial, or technology-driven environments.</li></ul><h2>What Success Looks Like</h2><p>In this role, success means creating consistent, scalable, and data-driven EHS systems that improve compliance, strengthen safety culture, and give leaders clear visibility of performance and risk.
