Context:Our TCD Power Systems team supports utilities, developers, and investors in addressing grid integration challenges for generation and transmission projects, including renewable energy, battery storage, and HVDC interconnections.You will be part of a global team delivering power system studies across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, contributing to both project execution and technical development.Regular working days: Mon-Fri., 8 hours/day, 5 days/weekResponsibilities:<ol><li>Power system studies execution<ul><li>Perform steady-state and dynamic power system studies, including load flow, contingency, short-circuit, RMS stability, voltage stability and reactive power assessments.</li><li>Develop and maintain network models using PSS®E and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory</li><li>Define study assumptions, scenarios, and contingencies.</li><li>Interpret study results, identify network constraints and stability risks, and develop technically justified mitigation measures.</li><li>Conduct complex technical assessments and develop specialist solutions for power system challenges, including generator and converter model validation, dynamic model tuning, stability enhancement strategies, and mitigation of network constraints.</li></ul></li></ol><ul><li><ul><li>Investigate model convergence, initialization and dynamic performance issues, identify root causes, and implement robust technical solutions.</li></ul></li></ul><ol><li>Grid integrations renewable projects<ul><li>Contribute to grid connection studies for: solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS), HVDC and other converter-based technologies</li><li>Assess system impacts of inverter-based resources and propose mitigation measures</li></ul></li></ol><ol><li>Project delivery s coordination<ul><li>Lead the technical execution of studies from project initiation through final reporting with a high degree of independence and accountability.</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams for inputs, modelling, and validation</li><li>Review and validate work from junior engineers where required</li><li>Lead selected study tasks and provide technical guidance to junior engineers</li><li>Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying problems, proposing practical solutions, testing them, and driving their implementation through to resolution.</li><li>Exercise sound engineering judgement by critically reviewing modelling assumptions, challenging simulation results where appropriate, and ensuring technical quality and consistency throughout the study.</li></ul></li><li>Reporting s client interaction<ul><li>Prepare clear and structured technical reports and deliverables</li><li>Present results and conclusions to internal teams and clients</li><li>Support technical discussions with clients when required</li></ul></li></ol> <ol><li>Continuous development<ul><li>Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical improvement</li><li>Stay updated on developments in grid integration and power system analysis</li><li>Support the development and adoption of internal tools, automation scripts and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering efficiency and study quality.</li></ul></li></ol>
