As an Acquisition Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring our community solar subscription projects are well managed and maintained. You will verify subscriber information submitted by our contracted acquisition agents across multiple state jurisdictions, and you will negotiate and manage the agent contracts that drive our subscriber growth, working closely with your department and our expert Account Managers and Billing team members. This is a full-time, permanent position, and is often the next step for candidates who begin their PowerMarket career as a Community Solar Acquisition Intern. Given the collaborative, in-person nature of agent negotiations and team coordination, this role prefers candidates to be located in the NYC area or within commuting distance of our office, however, for the right fit we will consider remote work. Responsibilities<ul><li>Verify and audit subscriber information submitted by contracted acquisition agents across multiple state jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and completeness ahead of utility submittal.</li><li>Support utility submittals, data analysis, and data management to ensure community solar subscription projects are well managed and maintained.</li><li>Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with third-party acquisition agents, applying community solar and sales industry knowledge to structure agreements that position the company for profitability and quality data return.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for acquisition agents on contract terms, subscriber submission standards, and process questions.</li><li>Monitor agent performance, subscriber conversion, and data-return metrics across markets, and flag trends or issues to leadership.</li><li>Daily internal interactions with the Acquisition, Billing, and other Operations staff, in addition to communications with electric utilities and associated stakeholders.</li><li>Develop reports and compile data related to the status of acquisitions, revenue, and agent performance, as requested.</li><li>Frequent MS Excel and general data work, including building and maintaining tracking tools using VLOOKUP and pivot tables.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve subscriber verification workflows and agent onboarding processes.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree required; a degree in environmental studies, sustainability, or another clean-energy-related field is preferred.</li><li>Prior experience in the community solar industry is required.</li><li>Prior sales experience is required; sales experience within the community solar or broader clean energy industry is a plus, though not required.</li><li>Working knowledge of community solar program structures and agent/subscriber acquisition models, with the ability to negotiate agent contracts that favor company profitability.</li><li>Strong attention to detail is necessary, along with comfort managing high-volume, repetitive verification work.</li><li>Basic knowledge of energy terms (e.g., kW, kWh).</li><li>Knowledge of MS Excel, with proficiency in formulas such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables, as well as the ability to work with and synthesize datasets in MS Excel.</li><li>Proficiency with Google Suite such as Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.</li><li>Professional oral and written communication skills, with the interpersonal skills to build relationships and negotiate effectively with external agents.</li><li>A collaborative, team player approach to work.</li><li>Passionate about the clean energy industry and working at a mission-driven company.</li><li>Open to candidates entry to mid-level in their career.</li><li>Must be located in the NYC area or within commuting distance.</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Salary range of USD $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience.</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with the company covering 60% of premiums and immediate eligibility on your start date.</li><li>401(k) plan, eligible to participate after 6 months of employment.</li><li>Full Citi Bike membership, paid by the company.</li><li>Employee profit-sharing program.</li><li>100% employee-owned company.</li><li>Paid sick time, plus 15 days of paid vacation time, with the ability to increase with tenure.</li><li>Frequent company bonding activities, held on an approximately monthly basis.</li><li>Hybrid work environment, based out of our office near Rockefeller Center.</li><li>Commuter benefits.</li></ul>How to ApplySend your resume and cover letter via email to <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="mailto:careers@powermarket.io">careers@powermarket.io</a>&nbsp;
