Your work will directly support plant operators, scientists, executives, and field service teams by providing the tools and data needed to optimize performance, accelerate product development, and improve operational efficiency.</p><p>This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li style="line-height:2;">Design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions that support Electric Hydrogen's digital platform</li><li style="line-height:2;">Own projects from prioritization and requirements gathering through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance</li><li style="line-height:2;">Develop and enhance industrial telemetry pipelines that ingest plant data from Ignition SCADA systems into cloud-based platforms</li><li style="line-height:2;">Build and maintain a centralized data lake that consolidates information from multiple data sources for analysis and reporting</li><li style="line-height:2;">Develop and support Python- and SQL-based data analysis tools used by engineering, operations, and business stakeholders</li><li style="line-height:2;">Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing and internal full-stack web applications using modern web technologies</li><li style="line-height:2;">Develop software integrations that improve manufacturing systems and operational workflows</li><li style="line-height:2;">Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring and alerting systems</li><li style="line-height:2;">Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&amp;D, field service, and leadership to deliver high-impact software solutions</li><li style="line-height:2;">Participate in architectural discussions and help define the technical direction for new systems and features</li><li style="line-height:2;">Participate in an on-call incident response rotation</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li style="line-height:2;">Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience</li><li style="line-height:2;">Significant professional software development experience building web applications, data platforms, or data pipelines</li><li style="line-height:2;">Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, React, and TypeScript</li><li style="line-height:2;">Strong Python programming skills with experience using data analysis libraries such as Pandas, PySpark, or similar frameworks</li><li style="line-height:2;">Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs</li><li style="line-height:2;">Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server</li><li style="line-height:2;">Experience with AWS cloud services and an understanding of cloud architecture design tradeoffs</li><li style="line-height:2;">Demonstrated ability to contribute to software architecture and technical decision-making</li><li style="line-height:2;">Experience with industrial telemetry, IoT, SCADA systems, or industrial automation is preferred</li><li style="line-height:2;">Experience developing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and monitoring solutions</li><li style="line-height:2;">Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment</li><li style="line-height:2;">Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders</li><li style="line-height:2;">Willingness to participate in an on-call support rotation</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>#LI-Hybrid</strong></p><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong> | P4 </p><p></p><p></p><div><div><div>San Jose Zone</div><div><span>$182,000</span><span>—</span><span>$226,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div><p>Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​</p><p>Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
