This is a highly visible role at the front end of our development pipeline, where you'll play a critical part in finding and securing the sites that become tomorrow's renewable energy projects. If you enjoy combining commercial negotiation, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement and project leadership, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact within one of the world's leading renewable energy businesses. What you’ll be doing You'll take ownership of identifying and securing new development opportunities that support ScottishPower Renewables' ambitious growth plans. Working with internal specialists, landowners, consultants and external partners, you'll lead projects from initial site identification through to successful handover into development. Key responsibilities include: <ul><li>Identifying and assessing new renewable energy development opportunities across the UK and ROI. </li></ul><ul><li>Leading site searches and feasibility studies, including reviews of grid capacity, energy resource, access constraints and deliverability. </li></ul><ul><li>Negotiating and securing land rights, exclusivity agreements and commercial arrangements with landowners and their representatives. </li></ul><ul><li>Managing due diligence activities and preparing high-quality submissions for land tenders and acquisition opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing strategies that maximise value from both new and existing development opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure informed and robust decision-making. </li></ul><ul><li>Managing project reporting, performance tracking and governance requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Supporting commercial strategy, process improvement initiatives and budget management across the Origination team. </li></ul><ul><li>Promoting a strong culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility. </li></ul>What you’ll bring We're interested in people who combine strong commercial instincts with the ability to manage complex projects and build trusted relationships. You'll likely have experience in: <ul><li>Renewable energy development. </li></ul><ul><li>Land acquisition or land management. </li></ul><ul><li>Planning and development. </li></ul><ul><li>Property, infrastructure or utilities projects. </li></ul>You'll also bring: <ul><li>A strong understanding of site feasibility and development considerations. </li></ul><ul><li>Experience evaluating development opportunities and balancing risk and reward. </li></ul><ul><li>Excellent negotiation and influencing skills. </li></ul><ul><li>The ability to build strong relationships with landowners, consultants and key stakeholders. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical and reporting capabilities. </li></ul><ul><li>Confidence managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of renewable energy land agreements and commercial structures. </li></ul>Desirable: <ul><li>Experience using GIS and spatial data tools. </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of onshore wind development. </li></ul>Essential: <ul><li>Full UK driving licence. </li></ul>What’s in it for you As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
